Folks, today is a momentous day for me. I have decided to sell my collection of exotic, specialty and collector cars that I have had stored at my storage facility - there has just been too much demand for storage units here and I have had a waiting list for 10 X 20' storage spaces while I keep 8 of my personal cars inside - I just can no longer justify the cost of keeping these cars. In 5 years I will lose $60,000 in revenue that the space I am taking up will provide and I can not justify that any longer. I am listing all of these cars today and selling them at THOUSANDS BELOW MARKET VALUE WITH NO RESERVE so that they can be cleared out and the storage units rented by the month after next. I keep a Florida dealer's license becasue it is the only practical way for me to insure and drive all of them. Please note that in my 28 years of having this license, I have never had a complaint filed with the Florida DMV or the Better Business Bureau and have been on ebay for years with only one single negative feedback. I am BONDED against fraud so bid with confidence! You can expect the car to be as described when it arrives at your house, or when you arrive to drive it home! Fly to Daytona and drive the car back - make a vacation out of it! If you don't have time for that, be assured I can meet your trucking company whenever necessary and will work with them to keep everything nice and smooth - it is easy for them to load here - and there will be no problems. This auction is for a 1957 Imperial Crown Coupe. I was so excited to buy this car - just the most outrageous styling ever and with its factory-installed Chrysler Fire Power Hemi V-8, but I just have too many projects and too little time. There's no way I'l ever get to complete this car and I realize it - my 12-hour a day schedule just doesn't make that realistic, as much as I would like it to. Did I mention it is factory SHELL PINK?? Oh, it just doesn't get any cooler! It does need to be restored, of course - the car has been sitting in a garage for years. It needs paint as you can see, and some rust repair at the bottom of the quarters where they meet the rockers. There are a few small holes at the edge of the hood as you can see. There is also a place near the front bottom of the door that needs some small attention. The interior is superb for a 56-year old car - wow, take a look! Seats are terrific with NO holes!! The carpet does need to be replaced, but the door panels are good and the headliner also has NO rips or tears, although it is dirty! Dash pad needs attention and there is one crack in the padding on the steering wheel. It has real nice original chrome with NO holes (If you want it show-perfect, you will want to replate it- it's all original!) Check out the original trunk material! This is a real unmolested car that would be a perfect restoration project! I did get it running and have driven it around the yard - never on the street. The key switch powers the ignition, but does not start the car, so you have to jump across the solenoid to start it. You do have to put some gas in the carburetor to get it going, and the motor is tired - smokes , makes noise - just needs some work. It has been sitting a long time. Bring a trailer. Do not plan on driving it home! Who knows how old the brakes are? The tires are all bias-ply correct size whitewalls with good tread, but they are old too. Rear Air! Did I mention the car has Front AND Rear air?? Outrageously rare option! The power windows and seat do not work. I have never tried to find out why....never got that far along. The car is sold "exempt". This is a car you would be proud to take to any vintage event and be the envy of the crowd! Can you even imagine how cool this would be, finished and rolling into any premium car show in America - or the world?? How many 1957 Imperials could possibly be left...AND in a 2-door hardtop - AND as a factory pink car!?!?
