You are bidding on a 1986 Honda Shadow 500. This legendary machine came to my possession as a part of an estate sale, therefore I am not the original owner and not aware of it's extended history. However, I can tell you that this bike recently underwent a thorough inspection and service by an authorized Honda dealership. No major issues were found, all necessary adjustments were done, fluids were topped off,and two brand new tires were installed due to the original tires being flattened because of longtime storage and limited use of the machine. A new battery was also installed.Mechanically, this Honda is a turn-key motorcycle with an extremely smooth ride, and it is ready to take you on any trip. Equipped with 500 CC water-cooled engine six speed transmission and limited edition suspension with only 10K+ miles, it is a true diamond in the rough. The bike has stereo sound ready to play your mp3. It also comes with a set of saddlebags and the storage cover. Everything on this bike works wonderfully, and it is in complete working order. Even though the bike is in overall excellent condition, including seats without tears and a decent shine to the original paint job, please keep in mind that your are bidding on a twenty six year old motorcycle, and it does have a couple of minor blemishes- The headlight lid may need re-chroming or replacement ( $26) - Left side of the gas tank has a few small scratches(see pictures) that may be fixed or simply covered with a new Honda decal ( $17, set of two) - The whole bike needs a thorough wash and wax ( see pictures) I am not a bike rider but I'm sure someone that has experience with motorcycle can appreciate this treasure.
