I’m selling my 1966 Porsche 912. I have owned this car for a little over 6 years, and it has been a great car. I hate to part with it, but I have 5 vehicles and one must go. It always gets comments and “looks” when I take it out. They do not make them like this anymore....simple, classy and reliable. Mechanically the vehicle is sound. The engine is strong. It always starts and I would drive it anywhere. It easily passes the Colorado emissions tests. Since I have owned the vehicle it has always been garaged. It has never seen rain or snow. The only water it has seen since I have owned it is the occasional wash. I purchased my 912 from a gentleman here in Colorado. It sat for about 5 years before I bought it. He purchased it from mechanic/Porsche enthusiast who was going to use it as a road rally vehicle. It was located in California. Mechanically it was in good shape and that is what attracted me to the car. After I purchased it I had the vehicle stripped down to the bare metal and had it professionally painted. I was surprised how clean the car was once it was stripped. There was no rust on the body of this car. The car was original except for the driver’s door which at one point was replaced (different color than the rest of the car when it was stripped). The paint job looks awesome. It is 5 years old, but like I said the vehicle has never spent a night outdoors since I owned it. I do have some touch up paint I will provide with the vehicle. The body does have a few small chips, but overall looks great. When I had my 912 repainted I had all the glass removed and the weather stripping/rubber replaced. The rear window molding did have a leak and it leaked onto the rear seats. You can see a few water stains in the pictures. I did not replace any of the glass as it is in good shape. I also had all of the moldings and chrome removed as well. You will not find any paint lines or overspray. Mechanically I have only rebuilt the carburetors. Like I said it always starts and runs strong. The previous owner must have coated the undercarriage of the vehicle. I have not touched the undercarriage. The interior of the vehicle is nice shape, but not perfect. The seats are original. They are starting to crack in a few small places but are still in good shape. You could easily have the vinyl sections replaced if desired. The carpet in the 912 is not a cheap replacement insert. It is the original carpeting, and it is thick. It is intact but could use a good cleaning or dying. I did buy a carpet insert for the trunk. The stereo in the vehicle is not original, but I do have the original stereo. The odometer reads 67k and functions properly. As far as I can tell everything on the vehicle is original (except for the radio). I have it stored in a garage as I hate to have such a classic outside in the elements. I have tried to include a picture of every angle of the vehicle. If you have any questions or require further information do not hesitate to ask. The car is not perfect, but overall is in great shape. The body is clean and straight. The interior could use some work. The left front vent window does not shut easily. The new molding is thick and could use to be trimmed down a bit. The wheel rims could use a touch up, or fresh paint as they are chipping a bit. The windshield washer fluid reservoir does not work/spray water. I have never had the need to fix it. The car also does not have a spare tire. Otherwise you will not be disappointed. It is not a show car but a great solid weekend or daily driver. Thanks for looking.
