Vehicle Detail
I have a 64 Chevy project car / parts car that I bought about 7 years ago. I haven't touched in in almost 3 years, so it's time to go. The car started out as a 64 Biscayne roadster (top was cut off by previous owner). I bought a 64 impala (64k original miles) parts car, took all the parts off of it I wanted and scrapped the rest. My intent was to make a sweet 64 impala convertible clone. Unfortunately I don't have time. Comes with a bill of sale (with ID plates) for the 64 Biscayne and a clear ohio title (with ID plates) for the 64 impala. Could make a sweet ride for someone that has the ambition or time, or a great parts car for someone that is working on one, or needs a title. It is being sole AS IS. I have quite a bit of parts that go with it, not shown in the pictures; including... grille, fenders, hood, doors (one I've started shaving (no handles, locks, etc), the other I haven't touched), seats (2 pairs of buckets because I was going to do a 2+2 seating arrangement (one set 64 (bad shape), the other set 65 (ok shape)), bumpers, glass, trim, etc. It also has air ride (bags, compressor & tank (no valves)), rocket wheels (needs tires), and more. I've purchased a lot of new parts for it like drivers side full OE quarter panel ($600 alone), drivers side tail light section, drivers side drop off panel, trunk well pan, body mounts, body bushings, all new bushings for control arms, side cowl panels, motor mounts for BBC with prothane bushings, rear wheel tubs (was planning on doing a mini tub), and more. I also bought some convertible parts... windshield frame (laid back), windshield chrome (inner & outter), convertible top frame (missing header bow), convertible mounts and braces (inside car), cylinders & pump (needs rebuilt). I also bought a dash out of a 59 impala. Comes with all the trim / chrome, and also gauges. The car is currently off the frame. The frame is stripped (non-roller). The control arms, and rear end (3.55 open) are not mounted. There is one spot on the inside of the frame that is rusted (has holes). It is near the transmission mount on the passenger side. Other than that it is solid. I've got most of it cleaned and painted (spray can, just to keep it from rusting). The floors are solid (car came from Mexico). They just look bad in the pics because previous owner used contact cement to hold carpet. There is no motor or trans with the car. Some of the parts are just vise-gripped clamped on as you can see in the pictures. The first picture is when I brought it home, second is when I put the air ride and convertible windshield frame on it, and the rest are of how it is at this time. If you have any other questions, or need any other pictures, please let me know. Thank you. A few other things I forgot to mention... the passenger side quarter panel will need replacing. It is full of Bondo (that's the reason I replaced the drivers side, just never got around to the other side). I have 2 sets of bumpers for this car. It is missing the radiator support (lost somewhere over the years), and the gas tank (this was dented in and had a split in it, so I tossed it). The drivers side rear outer wheelhouse is removed (since I was planning on doing a mini-tub). Passenger side not touched yet. I also still have the original coil springs if you don't want air ride (but front lower control arms have plates welded in for the air bags, so you would have to cut it back out or use other ones). If she doesn't sell, I will start parting it out (which is probably worth 2 times what I'm asking for it), but would rather not do that unless I have to. My oldest son is turning 16 this year, so may consider trade for another car for him (must be automatic). As I keep remember things I will try to post them ASAP. I am also selling my commercial grade Singer sewing machine (what I was going to sew my interior with) in another auction if you are interested. Car is listed locally and auction may end at any time.
