Vehicle Detail
1974 Suzuki GT750 I purchased this bike at an estate sale in 2001. The title is in my name free and clear. In the past four years I began restoration in earnest on this machine. It was totally disassembled and the process begun. New connecting rods. New crank bearings and seals. All crank work done by Bill Bune Enterprises in Anoka, MN. New gaskets New fork seals New tapered steering stem bearings New water pump New water pump drive gear New cables New rear wiring harness, the front was still nice so I reused it New tires, tubes and rim strips New O-ring chain and sprockets Professionally refurbished speedometer, tach, and temp gauge New first over pistons and rings (again, bored and honed by Bill Bune Ent.) New genuine Suzuki fuel petcock New carb and air box rubbers and clamps. Powder coated: Frame Swinging arm Rear brake stay Center and side stands Battery box Air box Electrical panels Footrests Steering triple tree Seat pan Engine mounts Engine crankcases (yes, top and bottom in silver). New right hand switch gear Refurbished left hand switch gear Replated or NOS: NOS rims NOS spokes and spoke nipples (genuine Suzuki, NOT from Thailand!) NOS crankcase and head bolts Shock absorbers disassembled and rechromed Chain guard rechromed Shift, kick, and rear brake levers rechromed Fenders : new front, rear rechromed NOS headlight bucket and rechromed headlight ears NOS OEM Suzuki horn Grab bar rechromed Starter motor cover rechromed Exhaust rechromed Flashers rechromed with new lenses Passenger pegs chromed I am sure I have forgotten many other new or replated items, but you get the idea. This one's a keeper. Take a good look at the pictures. If you wish to see the pictures at a larger size, let me know. eBay will not allow me to link it to my Flickr account. The paint color is a perfect match but has more flake than the original "flake blue" offered in 1974. The engine number (47932) is correct for the frame number. The seat was refurbished with the correct stamped pattern and screened logo by Eldorado Seats in Australia. I have about $500 into the seat alone. New genuine brake hoses are fitted to the rebuilt and refinished calipers and master cylinder and the system has been filled with long lasting DOT 5 silicone brake fluid. Fuel tank was cleaned and sealed by Elizabeth Radiator in PA and painted by Paul Miller Suzuki. All electrics work as the day it left the factory in Hamamatsu. Starts instantly at a whiff of the starter button and idles perfectly. It has had 5 heat up and cool down cycles and some gentle driving around the neighborhood since the rebuild. It leaks nothing and needs nothing. The rechromed exhausts have a few minor dings which I will do my best to show in the photographs. Overall, they still are beautiful. Two Suzuki "S" mirrors ride proudly on the new handlebars. All alloy, including the mammoth cylinder block and cylinder head, has been polished to a much higher standard than original. Since the pictures were taken I have added the "revving to the red zone is prohibited…." sticker to the handlebars and the battery vent route diagram to the frame. This machine now resides in my temperature controlled warehouse with the rest of my collection. Feel free to ask any questions. The reserve is reasonable in my opinion. Take a close look at the photographs. The new owner will not be disappointed with this beautiful machine. Bidders with less than 10 eBay transactions or less than 98% positive feedback must contact me first or they will be blocked. $500 deposit via Paypal due within 24 hours of the auction's end. The balance must be paid in cash or a direct deposit to my bank account within 48 hours of auction's end. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. I will keep the machine in my warehouse at no charge for up to 60 days from end of auction. It does not leave my possession until your payment clears my bank. The Rolls Royce key fob comes with the bike. Thanks for looking and good luck.
