Vehicle Detail

Hi, you are viewing a 1964 Ford Ranchero. The vehicle is all original and in excellent shape considering its age. It has 91,378 original miles. The vehicle runs and drives exceptionally well. It has a 170 cu/in 6 cylinder with a two speed automatic transmission. The transmission works and shifts great. The vehicle has been stored inside for the last 15 years. I recently completed a tune up to restore it to its prime condition. This includes new brakes front and rear, shoes, wheel cylinders, and spring and hardware kit. I also installed new front wheel seals and repacked the bearings. It has two brand new tires on the front and the rear are in great shape. I also installed new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, and fuel filter. It has a fresh oil change and a new battery as well. The carburetor is also freshly rebuilt. The vehicle starts as it should and runs cool. For how small the engine is, it surprisingly has respectable power and will run 70 mph with excellent steering control the entire time. All of the instruments, lights, wipers, and the horn work properly. The paint is decent on the vehicle but it does have some mild scratches and chips. No hail damage. The largest dent I have been able to find is on the inside of the tailgate, passenger side. It is barely noticeable. All the chrome looks great except for the wheels where some of it is chipping off. The only rust visible from the outside of the vehicle is a small area with a few bubbles under the paint. This is located in front of the rear passenger tire and is comparable to a penny in size. The drivers’ side tow board has pinholes and has been patched at some point in time as well as the floorboard. The floorboards and tow boards are still intact. The rest of the vehicle is rust free including the unibody, shock towers, and other places rust is commonly found. The doors and windows operate flawlessly. The seat has a hole worn in it on the drivers’ side and has been covered with a piece of vinyl. The rest of the upholstery and weather stripping is weather checked but is still intact. It has good shocks and no suspension noise. This vehicle would be a big head start to a full restoration or a great driver as is. If you have any questions on the vehicle, please feel free to contact me. Thanks for your interest! I reserve the right to end the auction early.
