1979 Honda CR250ElsinoreThe original Red Rocket. I built this bike to be my personal race bike. Rebuilt motor bottom up. New Wiseco standard piston in the original Chrome bore. Put all the nice stuff on it. Most of the hardware was replaced with new flange style fasteners. Bike starts and runs great. Lots of power. Great vintage racer. I painted the tank, frame, engine and all the other small parts. I am no professional painter but it came out very nice for a race bike. I rode the bike once since I did all the work so there is a scuff here and paint chip there. Little things wrong with it include the small airbox bracket under the seat needs replaced, leaks gas when you first turn it on but stops after the bike is running, probably just a float adjustment. You probably can find an 79 cheaper somewhere else but with all the upgrades on this one you can't build it for this price. I have set the reserve low as to what other have sold on here recently.
