Vehicle Detail
This has been our family car for the last two years. We have spent money to make it work well and be as efficient as possible. We purchased the Suburban used and started off by putting on new tires and enhancing the drive train with some additions from ssdieselsupply. These items included a low restriction air intake, low restriction down-pipe and cross over pipe, new fuel return hoses for each injector, a new fuel filter housing assembly (these tend to leak over time), new upgraded glow plugs, a new lift pump, and a relocated PMD cooler with brand new PMD. If you've done any research on 6.5's then you now keeping the PMD cool is the key to these engines staying happy! You can find all of these items on their website. Everything was done with an eye towards making the Suburban operate reliability and efficiently, no high horse power mods. This is our family car and I didn’t want to “burn it up” with an upgraded computer or "chip." It does have the 4.11 rear end so it would pull a camp trailer easily if you wanted to use it as your vacation vehicle. There are conversion kits for the 6.5L if someone wanted to start making / using biodiesel or veggie oil. We had considered it, but with a growing family I never had the time. Additionally, the Suburban has had a few normal wear items replaced along the way. New items with in the last year include: new serpentine belt, a rebuilt hydro-boost brake booster (it had a slow leak), a new starter, ,replaced brake pads, a new power steering unit to tighten up the front end (GM vehicles start to “wander” after a few years), and most recently a new transfer case. We live in Oregon so no salt on the roads. We have spent money to keep it nice, but now I’m ready to down size the family wagon a little. Starting the auction low with no reserve, so if you bid you can buy it. No payment plans, no lay-away, no warranty, and you have to arrange the shipping. I’ll be happy to meet the shipper for pick up after payment clears or we can meet you at our local airport (Klamath Falls, OR) if you want to just drive it home. There’s still almost half a tank of diesel in it! I have the clear title in hand ready to sign over. Don’t bid if you not sure you want to buy. I’ll take a cashier’s check or even a personal check, but be aware they can take up to 10 business days (two calendar weeks) to clear the receiving bank even after the funds leave your account so please plan accordingly, I can’t let the Suburban leave until the funds arrive. Of course cash in person works too! NO RESERVE; Bid to win and good luck. The Truck is registered in Alaska because I'm active duty military and I'm an Alaska resident. I'm stationed here in Oregon and the Suburban has never left the lower 48 as long as I've owned it although it would make a nice rig if you wanted to drive up North on vacation!
