On May-22-13 at 09:06:56 PDT, seller added the following information: The correct color should be the highly desired POLAR Silver and NOT the Artic Silver (having some trouble changing the existing description)On May-23-13 at 06:38:37 PDT, seller added the following information: It is hard to say "how a color differs" but as I originally confused and subsequently corrected, it is Polar Silver and not Arctic Silver. Polar Silver is the more desirable of the two in that it is the "classic" Porsche "German" silver (as seen in any Porsche "Evolution" poster showing earlier versions of the 911 series lined up and all in the same Polar Silver color). The story of how the German "racing silver" color came about is also quite interesting. My error in the ad was a complete mental slip up on my part in writing the ad off of the top of my head because I specifically bought the Polar version many years earlier. Polar is a more "pure silver" compared to the more "washed out" Arctic version. The under front bonnet code label as seen in Ebay photo shows the original delivery on the car to be L92M which means "Polar" Silver. (The untouched presence of the original front/rear labels also assures no front/rear damage). I hope this helps. On May-23-13 at 06:43:11 PDT, seller added the following information: All of the work done on my car was done by Auto Sport Systems Group in Fairfax. They are excellent and the number one to work on Porsches owned by the PCA of the Nat'l Capital Area. I have all of the major repair bills. There were no major repairs other than what I did for maintenance and upgrades. Other small repairs include a window switch, horn fix, spoiler skirt, hood and deck lid shocks and upgraded headlight brackets (supplied free by Porsche after 17 years) the car has been flawless. The above small items are all well known items "famous" to this model series. I have not replaced the shocks and have not noticed that they needed replacement. The handling and ride are a wonder (great tires help). I did add a front stabilizer brace which is about the only handling thing Porsche left out to give the front end handling more stability. It is the first and most common add for a 993. I have ASG change my oil/filters faithfully (with Mobil One of course). The car uses one half to a full quart between oil changes as is common with these cars and was driven at speed, primarily on the highway to work every day for the last 7 years. NO door dings! The comment I made regarding the brakes replacement was meant to be in reference to the brake pads only and not the dampers. Sorry if that was unclear. The pads were just upgraded one level ("Blue" brake pads) from what was original. Porsche stock brakes are excellent all around as is but it was a minor upgrade while I was replacing them anyway. The check engine light did come on once and I had to replace a sensor as I recall. Yes, I added the black chip guards and the Turbo twist wheels. The originals were clear as you say. The Porsche 993 Turbo had the wonderful upgraded (and larger 18" wheels) twist wheels. The black chip guards were professionally installed and can be removed (as the originals were) if you prefer. The black guards were consistent with the original Porsche turbo upgrade/look. Thanks for your interest,
