Vehicle Detail
You are looking at perhaps one of the finest '68 Bonnevilles in America today. I purchased this machine in 2000 after it won the 2000 Auburn Maine Competition (trophy bowl included) from a dental surgeon who sold it on ebay because he said it was too nice to ride. I scoffed. I bought it. He was correct. In the 13 years I have owned this motorcycle it has had only 400 miles added to it. And that included the test ride after a 2012 update. Restoration by Rich Ferraro with the best of everything. Girling shocks, Hepolite pistons, Ferodo linings. 2000 engine rebuild by Gary Johnson. Handpainted acrylic lacquer with striping by Dennis Hummel. In 2011 I brought the bike to Randy at Randy's Restorations near Orange, Virginia. Randy replaced all seals, gaskets, rubber, rebuilt the carbs, repainted the oil tank, replaced the ignition system and if possible put it one step ahead of where it was when I bought it. It has been run with ethanol free gas since Randy completed the update. I have a cd of dozens and dozens of progress photos from Randy. There is a video that Randy did on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oD6QBRipsHo. This bike should be inspected in person or by a neutral third party and is offered for cash sale only and I will not ship it. You may make your own shipping arrangements from my door after full payment is received. I offer a valid Virginia title. I will include a Davida helmet in the box unused with goggles, a spare oil tank already painted, the trophy from Auburn and a bike cover. Also a spare set of decals. The bike may be inspected by appointment but may not be test driven for obvious reasons. Run the engine, of course. I offer no warranty since this wonderful motorcycle is 45 years old but you won't be disappointed. I can only hope you will ride it more than I did or have a place to display it, which I do not. I have lowered the price to $11,000. Take advantage of the availability of this wonderful machine and stop the show wherever you go!
