Vehicle Detail

Full Disclosure: This is "that bike". I learned to ride on it. The guy I bought it from and his wife learned to ride on it. All my friends learned to ride on it. It's been dropped a lot at low speeds. But it's never been in a crash, and never suffered any major mechanical failures. I replaced it with something much nicer and newer, so I'm getting rid of my old bike for cheap. You get a running and fun bike for not much cash that you don't have to worry about beating up because it's already a little beat up. Win win. What it is is a 2001 Honda CBR 600 F4I with a chrome windshield, red foot pegs, aftermarket undertail with Fender Eliminator, and a set of custom painted fairings. I liked the original colors (red body, black wings), but I wanted them reversed, so that's what I did (black body, red wings). The paint isn't perfect show quality, but it looks good. Then I went and dropped it in a pothole in a parking lot (CT potholes are serious business). The fairings are cracked up in the front and behind the seat on the right side from its last spill. I patched up the seat break with fiberglass as best I could. You can see the repairs and the damage in the pitcures. The front tire was replaced less than 1000 miles ago, and the rear tire only has ~3000 miles on it. Despite looking a little beat up, it runs great. I've never had a problem starting it when the battery is charged, and it still goes like stink. Known Problems: Broken fairings from a drop. Gas gauge does not work. (Fill up every 150 miles. No biggie) Needs new battery. (The one in there has a tendency to die if you start and stop frequently) Buzzes. (No one's been able to tell me where this noise is coming from, but it's been doing it for 10,000 miles and never gotten worse or caused any problem, so I don't think it's anything bad.) Front brake does not activate brake lights, rear brake does. (Frayed wire, or something. I'm going to look into this while the auction runs.) Aftermarket Parts Chrome windshield Yoshimura exhaust Upgraded swingarm spring Custom painted fairings CBR bar ends Red foot pegs New clutch/brake handles Undertail w/ LED brake/turn signal lights. So, that's it. For the price of a parts bike, you get a 95% working motorcycle that you can still ride. Sounds good, yes? P.S. Buyer arranges shipping. I can make myself available to whomever picks it up any day of the week except Wednesday. Also, please ignore the weird sheds in the background of the pictures. I didn't make them.
