Vehicle Detail

For every car enthusiast, sooner or later there's a car or two you wish you never got rid of. (Brings to mind that long-gone '67 Mustang Fastback I drove in high school in the late 70's.) Well, I'm getting ready to make that same mistake twice. Up for sale is my very clean, solid, low mileage, sure-you'll-never-regret-buying Fox Body GT. I spent over a year searching for it, and looked at well over a 100 before finding this one half a country away. I have a complete history on this car. Owned first by a factory worker. He died (regrettably, I'm sure), and it sat in a garage for years. Sold by his wife to a policeman. He got a divorce, and wife got the car. (Ouch!) She sold it to a super meticulous custom home builder who bought it for a weekend driver. The kind of builder who thinks the only way to do a job is to do it right. He did a bunch of work on it to update the mechanical pretty completely, taking care to keep it very much stock (besides the exhaust and wheels). He replaced: transmission, clutch, valve cover gaskets (doesn't drip a drop), and the following components: water pump, smog pump, regulator, alternator, shocks, radiator, wires. He also put on a serious Flowmaster Exhaust (deepening the signature gutteral tone of the GT), 4 chrome Cobra R wheels and NITTO Extreme Performance NT555 tires (275/40-17's and 245/45-17's)- these are hot. His wife wanted an RV (if momma ain't happy ain't nobody happy), and he reluctantly sold it to me in Feb 2010 with a, "One thing I know- you won't regret buying this one." I'm academic director of a large, private, Christian school who's had a love affair with Mustangs for 40 years. (And so I can state with confidence, this car's never been beat.) I replaced the brakes and rotors and spark plugs, radiator, sway bar, and headliner. I had a security system installed, tinted the windows, and had some paint work done. The battery is new. She is rust-free. Yes, this car is as pretty as the photos. (Only thing not in photos is the primo "FOX BDY1" vanity plate she's now sporting.) I, too, can say with confidence, one thing I know, you won't regret buying this one.
