**PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION CAREFULLY. THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT.** You are viewing an auction for a low-mileage, original 1987 Jaguar XJ6 finished in cobalt blue with biscuit leather. This is a no-reserve auction. This is the last body style of the series III for the North American market. I’m the 3rd owner of this car and I’m an avid Jaguar enthusiast . I purchased this vehicle in October 2009 (63,XXX miles) with the intention of restoring it to showroom condition, but personal circumstances caused this plan to be shelved. As a result, this vehicle has been only used lightly during the past several years. It currently has a little over 67,XXX miles. Vehicle was titled in NC after my purchase and used by a family member as I live in NY and in PA; vehicle has recently been titled in PA. I’ve attempted to drive it at least 20 miles or so every week when the weather was nice to keep everything in good working order. Vehicle was stored in garage when not in use. I’m now ready to part ways with it as I recently purchased another Jaguar and no longer have the storage space. I don’t have any service records from the prior seller/owner, but I was also told that car was professionally stripped and painted in 1999 along with some recent brake work and AC service at 58,000 miles. The interior of the car is virtually unchanged, but could use a headliner. The interior is very clean with no rips, stains or tears and the electronic components function as they should. The AC is the coldest of any car I’ve owned. The front side marker lamps do not work. I have the replacement units but have not wired them. Also, the parking brake needs adjusting. The floorboards of the car seem very solid although there is rust underneath. Service items include brand new tires, coolant flush, synthetic oil change, new plugs and wires, new headlights, new steering rack bushings, new battery, and new starter. There was a minor reported accident in 1/5/2010 where someone backed into the front end resulting in the front bumper being lightly scraped and part of the radiator grille scuffed. I replaced the grille. There are some dings, scrapes and wear and tear consistent with a 30-year-old vehicle, but it’s a nice car for its age. Please note anyone who backs out of this contract is agreeing to pay a minimum $1000.00 penalty plus the negative difference within 30 days of the car being relisted and sold. The seller will file suit in listed county and bidder/defendant will pay all atty’s fees for seller and other fees deemed necessary & reasonable by seller.
