This 1972 Bonneville has recently been restored, or slightly over-restored. The main differences from stock are; The color is Magenta (Icould not bring myself to put it back in the "Gold" which was not a pretty color on the bike in my view). The paint was applied by THE EGYPTIAN, a nearly 60 year old custom paint shop in Dayton, OH. and it is flawless! Deep and beautiful. The frame has been powdercoated, not painted, and is also very nicely done and not subject to chipping or peeling. The muffler section of the exhaust is not the stock 1972 version. The engine has been completely rebuilt at 14000 miles by a retired Triumph motorcycle mechanic using only factory parts. New chrottle cables, clutch cable, choke cable, handle bars, respoked the wheels in stainless, new speedo cable, tach cable, and a complete new wiring harness. New Dunlap tires.Boyer ignition system. New battery. AND MUCH MORE. All receipts are here and come with the bike. Over $10K spent on the bike. Reserve is MUCH less. Original Owners Manual. Service manual on CD. Hate to see it go, but I simply can not kick start a bike anymore with my knee/hip issues. Getting old is not fun, but I guess it beats the only alternative. Has not been ridden in a year or so, but inside (my car showroom) storage has kept it clean and beautiful. My loss is your gain.
