2008 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport SS Sedan 4-Door 5.3L LS4 V-8 Red on Black 2 owner Impala SS Many Extras and Modifications This is a one of a kind Impala SS for the car enthusiast. With all the modifications on this vehicle, it can better utilize the full potential of the LS4 V-8. Car has had the same owner since late 2008. Most of the mods were carefully done by the owner in 2009 at about 30,000 miles. This is a secondary use car that has seen little foul weather. Car has been in Southern Nevada since 2010. Modifications and recent repairs include: Transaxle replaced by Chevrolet dealer in 2011 at 47,908 miles (have receipt). Full Mobil 1 oil change recently performed. Window tint: 5% rear 40% front. Wheelskins black leather steering wheel cover. Michelin Pilot Sport tires with nitrogen (great traction). 7/32nd's tread left. Suspension/Brakes/Steering: GXP Brake Setup with zinc coated, cryogenic treated rotors, stainless braided brake lines, powder-coated calipers and brackets, ceramic pads. New pads and rotors installed only a few hundred miles ago. (a complete extra set of pads and rotors are also included) Steering rack has been replaced and has Moog tie rods. Bilstein struts with Eibach springs front and rear. BMR rear suspension arms & Addco sway bar in the rear. ZZ Performance lower control arms in the front. Strut tower braces front and rear. Engine/Powertrain: Doug Thorley headers with 2 switchable midpipes (cat or no cat). Magnaflow cat back exhaust. K&N cone air filter kit. Accel plug wires with ceramic boots. Optima yellow top battery. Custom built $600 aluminum radiator with spal fans running Evans waterless coolant. New water pump. Factory transmission cooler. Billet front motor mount bracket. Tune: "Will Overkill" tune (really makes the trans shift well). 4 cylinder mode tuned to only come on above 60 miles per hour. (so exhaust sounds good with headers at low speeds) Stereo: Alpine amp, 4 Alpine speakers and Alpine 12 inch sub integrated into factory system with Audiocontrol LC6i. Parrot Bluetooth. Extras: 15,000 mile shortblock rotating assembly (no valvetrain) (includes: block, crank, pistons, rods, all assembled) (also includes: oil pan, timing cover, valve covers, windage tray, balancer, oil pump, timing chain, and tensioner, coil packs, ring gear, oil pickup, assorted fasteners, clamps, sensors, valley cover with DOD solenoids and other misc small parts). Other extra parts include: hood with vent louvers installed (needs some bodywork to be perfect), stock exhaust manifolds, cross pipe and downpipe/converter, stock rear suspension rods, stock fans and radiator, stock engine wire harness, belt tensioner tool, stock plug wires, stock airfilter box, mid pipe with catalytic converter (to use with headers), stock throttle body, 2 stock intakes with fuel rails, complete set of new brake pads and rotors, GXP brake pedal, alternator, powersteering pump, assorted brackets and other misc parts. Accelerates strong, shifts well, handles and brakes well for a big heavy car. AC blows cold, heat blows hot. Stereo works great. Power accessories work well. The interior: Overall good. Driver seat bottom shows some wear. Power seats, windows and locks all work. The exterior: This car is a "5 to 10 footer". This means it looks real sharp from 5 to 10 feet away. Up close there are some chips and dings associated with a used car. It shines up real nice with a wash and spray wax. Driver quality. The wheels look good and are the factory chrome/polished type. Hopefully I'm not making the vehicle out to be worse than it is. I'm a perfectionist and I'd rather have the next owner think the vehicle is better than expected rather than worse. The bad: There is a blemish on the right rear of the bumper cover. There is a slight deformation on the left rear wheel arch where it was rolled improperly. The hood has been resprayed and it is a tiny bit darker than the rest of the car. (not as easily noticed in bright sunlight, more noticeable in florescent light) The hood has been finished sanded and buffed out and looks good. Unfortunatly it appears the hood wasn't prepped properly and shadows of the rock chips in the hood can be seen through the new paint. Urethane bushings need to be greased with prothane grease from time to time or they will squeak. Spare tire will only fit on rear (because of the big brakes). Overall this vehicle is nice and a lot of fun to drive. Vehicle is no longer being used and is in enclosed storage waiting to be bought.
