Vehicle Detail
1967 Fiat Dino Coupe 2.0L offered at no reserve. Manual transmission, she sits in Red on Black (could of originally been French blue? see door jam shots). I bought this last year before heading out to some active duty training. I have realized that with another restoration going on, doing two, and managing the purchase of my first home, is not a good idea, so the Fiat must go. She has not ran since 1994, but the fan spins, crank turns by hand, waterpump is free etc. She rolls quite fine as well, but only the hand brake will stop her currently. Shifts in and out of gear fine too. This is a 2.0L aluminum 4-Cam V6 engine, she matches her chassis, Triple Weber carbs (40DCNF, I believe), and the owner before installed a new Ansa exhaust (surface rust) ("new" but in the early 90's). Newer shocks in the rear (see pictures), and you'll see the undercarriage is not in terrible shape, where the doors meet the rockers, you'll see that is where there is rust, also on the driver side lower door, cracking etc. Exterior The doors sag, as they appear misaligned in photo's, but they fit when placed properly (so, new hardware obviously needed). What I call the "worst" part of this car could be debated, but parts are not easy to come by, and a cracked/smashed windshield HURTS! The driver's side window is also off it's run, but should be salvageable. The wheel arches are in good shape, there is underspray underneath her, but it isn't to thick, and the floors seem fine. Interior Front seats have rips here and there, but I did NOT clean this car prior to photographs, I wanted to represent it in the truest fashion possible, and I believe that dolling something up is not the way to go. There are extra dash parts included in the sale as well, along with fittings etc. The back seats are in fairly good condition, and the carpets all around are in ok condition as well. The trunk is in good condition, the carpets are decent, and there is no evidence of rust, battery tray, behind wheels etc. A full size spare (picture) sits in the trunk as well, and the original battery cover is included. 64, xxx kms sit on her, I believe those to be original with the limited road time she's had I have not started, tried to start nor dropped the oil pan, though she does hold oil, and it isn't gelatinous (yet), so those are good signs. I have not removed the spark plugs either, the top part of the engine came to me disassembled like that, the gentleman I bought the car from chalked it up to "life got busy" (I now understand his sentiments, right?) and she has sat indoors, stored, for almost 20 years!!! She will need the engine gone through, the transmission, brakes, hoses, lines etc, all of those lovely things entailed with the beginning of a restoration. She will need paint too, but if someone had ideas of just making her a driver, with short money, you could be on your way down the road. I am located in CT, cars older than 25 years old do not receive Titles from this state. She will come with a Bill of Sale only, so please check with your state prior to purchase. I will not pay for shipping, but will assist in any way possible to accommodate the buyer. If need be I can keep it stored for a little if we work something out. Extra parts include Tires, with excellent tread, and headers, also a LOT of paperwork included, Dennis McCann's name on a few receipts here and there too, also included is an original manual, tool bag with tools, literature, diagrams and receipts. Please feel free to contact me @ 203-770-0839 if you'd like to chat, car is sold As Is, and is for sale locally as well, I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime due to this. src="http://i1242.photobucket.com/albums/gg537/ksargavakian/1967%20Fiat%20Dino%20Coupe%202%20Litre/IMG_4536.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_4536.jpg"> The distributor is freshly rebuilt with paperwork from Dennis McCann.
