1955 Desoto 2 door hardtop Firedome This car has brand new interior except for package shelf , all good glass no cracks. It has a later model low mile 440 motor (so i was told by previous owner) with freshly rebuilt automatic 727 transmission with less than 10 miles on it, power brakes , and freshly rebuilt power steering. very straight, doors open and close like brand new and line up perfect as does trunk and hood, grill is in great shape and worth over $1K by itself...Nice driving car with custom taillights, dummy lake side pipes and spot lights, car has been lowered... I drove this car over 300 miles when i bought it and then had the transmission completely professionally rebuilt (cost $2500) and power steering (lines and pump) redone also , since then its been parked... the good: very rare car but easy to find mechanical parts since most are interchangeable with other mopar of same era, coverted to 12 volt with all working gauges and lights... needs a little work but very close to being a great hot rod... i havent done much to it since buying it but here is what i know it needs though this might not be a complete list since it is a 58 year old car after all: needs tune-up, vacuum leak in brake system, needs exhaust and valve cover gaskets, needs front end bushings and alignment... i have over $10K invested in it, my loss is your gain... true mileage unknown. has clear oklahoma title.. i have a set of chrome and a lot of other small parts that i will include for buy it now price... sold as is where is with no warranty. for sale locally so i reserve the right to end this auction early...
