I cannot express the compliments I receive on this unique color combination daily. I purchased this car February 1st in West Palm Beach, FL and drove to my home in DFW. Other than feeling the road, I got this lovely ride up to 100 on 95 with no issues. I have since moved back home to California (car was transported from DFW) and of course land isn’t as abundant so I cannot work on it, as I would have liked. I will also admit that on the LA roads – it is a killer being so low! I want and need this e31 to go to a lover of this rare car. I am no stranger to BMW and own many others. This is a powerhouse with a unique following so know you are purchasing history and not a cute car. This car needs care and upkeep – not Pep Boys. Having only owned this car for 2 months, I don't have much history other than I am the 3rd owner and the gentleman prior to me really put money in the car. Redline Racing in Florida were the mechanics and you can call Rennie and ask the history. Bad:Needs Transmission eventually (I drive it and it shifts erratic at times but once in 3rd and 4th no issues and runs like a dream)Needs Upper and Lower Control Arms Needs Front Shocks Needs o2 Sensors Has tiny oil leak but cannot see exactly where For those who don’t know the car – transmission is 4HP24 and can be changed from many other makes. Thanks to a helpful forum, I have seen many at $300. You can also have a rebuild performed, but that is when it gets expensive. Good: New alternator Michelin Pilot Sports 255 F 285 R (great tread left) New Bilstein Rears Noteworthy: Sunroof will work, but the change of interior won’t allow for the roof to slide back. If you remove the padding – it will go in to all positions. Has an aftermarket sound system with cheap components. Should be modified in my opinion by an expert but it is in the car nonetheless. Has amplifier and equalizer. Has H&R racing dynamics springs. Interior needs detailed attention to be perfect. It runs extremely strong. The car is amazing. Once the UCA, LCA and front shocks are replaced, I would easily take Hwy 1 by storm! I am an open and honest seller. While I didn’t get this when I purchased it, I will tell you and divulge all that I know. There is nothing worse than being taken for your hard earned money.
