Vehicle Detail
I inherited my grandpa's 1955 Ford truck. I have kept it in it's original condition with minor repairs and parts replacement. My grandpa purchased this truck in August 1955. He had just retired from farming and used the truck to "go to town" now and then. I got the truck in 1985 and have preserved it in my garage. It has 41,822 miles. The invoice lists the following options: Electric wipers, Heater, and Turn signals. Almost everything is still original including: key, paint, oak bed wood, 2 tone upholstery (with horse hair padding), fiberboard interior, and 6 volt electrical system. The tires, battery, spark plugs & wires, muffler, tail pipe, fuel pump, voltage regulator, and radiator have been replaced over the years with original or reproduction parts. Seat belts have been added. There are dents, scratches, and small areas of rust. The running boards and bumpers have been repainted. The underside has 58 years worth of dirt.On Apr-15-13 at 14:40:24 PDT, seller added the following information: A couple more notes. The mileage is original: 41,822. The truck runs great. All systems work. The wiring should probably be replaced for safety as it is brittle. The crossover pipe on the engine was replaced 12 years ago. The engine has not been rebuilt. The right running board is bent in on the outer edge a small amount. The front sheet metal under the bumper has a 4" tear on the left side. One of the wood bed boards has a 2" x 2" missing piece from rot next to the cab. My grandpa repainted the bed runners. This truck spent over 99% of its life in a garage. On Apr-16-13 at 15:36:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Please see the addtional photos.
