Up for sale is my BMW G650 cross country. I bought the bike as a demo from a dealer in NJ with a few hundred miles on it. I have since put another 1500 or so-the total mileage is less than 2k. The bike was never hit or dropped or ridden off road, though I am sure it can be when up and running-I bought it with plans of hitting the trails but it never materialized...This bike has a clean title and is fully paid off with no liens on it. As you can see from the photos, the bike was damaged in hurricane sandy. It was submerged in water from the storm (but did not tip over) and is NOT IN RIDE-ABLE CONDITION. This bike will need work to get it up and running. I brought it to a mechanic right away after the storm and he was able to get all of the water out, get the dash computer to light up and I get the engine to turn over (he switched around some of the wiring to do it as you can see in the pics). He estimated that it would cost about $1k in parts to get the bike running if I fixed it myself, but as much as I love the bike, I have neither the time nor the skill to make that happen. Disclaimer: the above is merely what I was told by a licensed mechanic I trust, but is in no way a guarantee or promise of any sort. The bike is being sold AS IS and as I said, it is not currently ride-able. I am hoping someone with some expertise and free time or looking for a project this spring can get her up and running in time for the summer or at the very least use her parts or title together with a second bike that was wrecked or even part it out for a nice profit. I don't know a heck of a lot about mechanics but feel free to ask as many questions as you like before bidding and I will do my best to answer. I prefer a local pick up on this bike, but if you are willing to pay all shipping cost and handle the arrangements for shipping ill help facilitate it in any way possible.
