Join the club of happy vintage Vespa riders from all around world. Restoration Process Our scooters go through extensive restoration process to ensure the highest possible quality and run time. Our experienced mechanics define the criteria of what needs to be replaced, however frames and engines are always originals. Both items can be tracked according to their serial numbers, for example via http://scooterhelp.com/serial/ves.frame.serial.numbers.html. Scooter’s body frames are stripped down to bare metal. All rubber, plastic, leather, aged aluminum trim cover, electrical wires and harness are disposed of. The frame is then inspected for body cracks before the alignment procedure. The whole frame is subsequently painted with primer and 6 coats of high-quality finish paint. Engine castings are cleaned using a sand blaster and then checked for any cracks, stripped threads and bearing surface damage. We reassemble and replace pistons, rings, carburetor, all bearings and clutch. We further rebuild all gears and clutch assembly, replace cylinders a cylinder heads, exhaust system and all aged parts. We also perform complete strip down and replacement of all rubber hoses, brake shoes, front and rear shocks, springs, seats, tires, tubes, cables, odometer, locks, all electrical wiring and electronic parts, floor strips and rubber trims.What are you getting? The motorcycle is sold without delivery, but we will work with the buyer to ensure safe transport or local pick up. This scooter has been originally made in Italy in 1966 by Piaggio but has since made it to Asia, where it has been fully restored by our mechanical team. Scooter is fully compliant with U.S. laws and regulations and we will provide all necessary paperwork. We will register the scooter in New York upon your request for the exact cost of the procedure (around $100) or you can register it yourself in your home state. This procedure is fairly simple given all the proper documentation is at hand.
