FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN OFFER AT ANYTIME. I CAN ALSO HELP YOU GET A GREAT SHIPPING PRICE. 1967 C10 CHEVY 1/2 TON STEPSIDE 2WD SURVIVOR. This truck is a true survivor and about as original as your going to find. Has original hubcaps, wheels, RPO sheet, paint, etc. etc. It is really one of the most original un-restored trucks I have ever seen. Still has bias ply tires on it, of which some could be original. Wheels are original 16" including spare. Windshield could be original. The body is very solid on this truck and has very little rust. The chevy was bought new in Deer Lodge Montana at the Downing Chevrolet/Buick dealership (may not exist now). It still has the sticker on the tailgate. I bought the truck from the nephew of the original owner. This truck has not been licensed since 1993. Before that, I don't remember it moving very often. The lady that owned it lived at a log cabin that my grandfather originally built a long time ago. I drove by the truck alot so I know it wasn't driven much. Mileage is 93k which I believe is probably original but I'm not sure. The truck still looks presentable and gets a lot of attention from car guys. I go to many shows and there's not many like this. They are usually either customized, or restored originals. Here are all the details. More pics in the photobucket link here. http://s942.photobucket.com/user/tutheck5/library/1967%20c10?page=1 MECHANICAL This truck has what I believe is the original WA code 283 L-32. I don't know where the Vin is on this engine, but it's highly unlikely that it's not the original engine. Some sites don't list this suffix as a '67 engine, but '67-'72 websites I've looked at do. Intake manifold numbers also match for a '67 so I'm sure the engine is original. I also know it's a V8 truck from the VIN. Engine looks as original as I've ever seen including air cleaner and possibly spark plug wires. I changed a couple when I was working on it but existing spark plug wires go behind the manifolds and I'm not sure how you even change them without taking the manifolds off. I've had the engine running but it was very briefly. The carb is badly in need of a rebuild. Fuel tank needs cleaned out also and I didn't attempt to use it. Engine sounded ok, but I really can't say for sure how good it is and it only ran for a few seconds. It has good oil pressure when turning over. At least needs carb rebuild, fuel tank cleaned, usual tuneup stuff and adjustement. Worst case, maybe rings but it could be usable as-is. Previous owner said it ran when parked.... Clutch and transmission see fine. This has a factory 3.73 12 bolt posi. Has original 16" wheels with bias plys. Tires hold air, brakes work enough for loading, steers. This has manual steering and brakes. No a/c. Original radio works! Lights and horn work. BODY The body is very nice for an unrestored truck of this vintage. These trucks are known for having rust problems, even in Montana. Outer rockers have a little rust and some rust by the sill plates. This is minor compared to most of these trucks. I think you could patch them without having to do full rockers. No rust in the floorpans that I can find except by the sill plates. I did not pull up the floormat but the floors look perfect from underneath and are not soft. The only other rust on the truck are small spots in the front of each rear fender. They are visible in the pics. This is down low pretty close to where the fender meets the bed step. Bed steps look fine. These spots will be easy repairs. The rest of the body is rust free from what I can find, and I've looked it over well. Lots of undercarriage photos in the picture link. Paint definitely looks original with no sign of any paint work ever and no filler. Windshield is cracked. Doors/hood/tailgate operate as they should. Frame is fine. Doors, hood, tailgate, front fenders, cowl, firewall, roof, header, etc. etc. all look great. Bed floor needs the wood redone and trim strips replaced. Overall, the body is in great original shape and is usable as-is or a perfect candidate for restoration. INTERIOR Seat upholstery obviously is in rough shape but is original and the springs are fine. It needs dashpad, doorpanels, and floormat. The usual. The interior would be usable though with a seat cover. One armrest is gone. Original RPO sheet is still in glovebox and is pictured. OVERALL This is a very cool chevy project. How many do you see at car shows? I see lots of custom shortbox stepsides, which I like, but it's cool to seen an original stepside longbox. I would be proud to tool around in this truck. It will be an easy restoration project or just get it running and drive it. Feel free to ask questions and make an offer.
