Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a totally restored Triumph motorcycle that has had careful detail paid to originality. The 1970 model of Bonneville is the final year of the oil in a side mounted tank. After 1970 the design changed to oil in frame where the frame of the bike carried the engine oil. These early style machines were the choice of many famous riders such as Steve McQueen and Evil Kineval 1968 Jump over Caesar's Palace Fountain on his Bonneville. This bike I am selling has been taken down to the frame and powder coated, the engine is the original powerplant at 650 ccs, and was extensively rebuilt by the professionals at British , Italian cycles in Vancouver British Columbia see photo of $7800 plus spent on rebuild. The frame and engine numbers are matching. The seat is replaced in correct material, the rubber components have all been replaced one handlebar grip is starting to split, doesnt affect the riding and can't be seen easily, the instruments were replaced, the tool roll is included with this sale as are all bills spent on the rebuild. I have original handbbok, price list of parts, and the supplementary parts price list. I also have a reproduction parts book that will go with the bike see photos of all the items. I have owned the bike since 2003 it was originally a Georgia registered machine which I bought from Georgia Cycle and finished its mechanical work in 2006. I have riden the bike approximately 1850 miles on the rebuild and it is a very solid preformer. The only wear I see on the bike is from the front brake cable rubbing against the right lower portin of the front fender see photo I have taken a picture of the area where the rubbing on the painted surface occurred. I haven't really ridden the bike in the last 4 years and only fire it up each couple of months for maintenance. I have spent over $14,000 on the ownership of this cycle and can support this with the bills and purchase info. I am not a mechanic and really cant elaborate too much beyond the basics, but the bills describe the full dtail of the rebuild. I have low reserve on this machine and hope the next owner enjoys the fruits of the labour that has gone into its completion. Please note the shipping details are the buyers responsibilty.
