Vehicle Detail
1968 Mustang Restomod. Started out as a 289 2-barrel with 91,000 original miles. I am the third owner of the car. I have owned the car for 4 years, and have replaced most everything on the car with parts from Tony Branda, CJ Pony, or Mustangs Unlimited. The fiberglass body parts came from Tony Branda so they are very high end. The car has the california special deck lid and side scoops glassed in. I also added the GT-500 KR hood. It is dark metallic blue with gunmetal metallic grey racing stripes. I have replaced the tires and wheels with brand new Nitto 555 and 17" Boss "Shelby" retro wheels. I still have the original GT tires and wheels. The 289 has been replaced with a fresh built 4-barrel 302 pushing 325+ horses. Very quick and strong. The transmission was freshly replaced with a racing C4 with a street/strip shift kit. The rear end was swapped out with rebuilt 8' with 355 gears. The interior was professionally replaced 2 years ago. The paint is fresh, but not perfect. The trunk lid needs some final adjusting. This is a non power steering, drum brakes, and no AC car. It is defiantly a driver, and a real head turner. There is still some work to be done with the car, but nothing really has to be done. Its ready to drive now. We are selling to pursue other interests and projects. On Apr-09-13 at 18:47:14 PDT, seller added the following information: The windshield chrome and passenger drip rail chrome was damaged during paint and needs to be replaced. The window weather stripping was removed during paint as well.On Apr-13-13 at 23:35:03 PDT, seller added the following information: The paint has some small chips and blemishes. The trunk (being fiberglass) has a slight bow in the center that should be easily corrected by a reputable paint and body shop familiar with working with fiberglass. The trunk weather strip needs to be installed(included with the car). The front windshield chrome and passenger drip rail chrome needs to be purchased/replaced. The driver's and passenger's weather strip needs to be purchased as it was removed during paint. The car is not disc brakes or power steering. It was not a frame off resto. The rear seat belts are incomplete since they were moved to the front. Some of the front belts were lost during paint. The gas gauge isn't working, but I was told that the fuel sending unit is stuck. The speedometer works, but the oil and alt gauges are not working, I did install the under dash triple cluster that works great. The rear seat belts are incomplete since I has to move 2 of them up front. The front ones were lost during paint. That is all that I am aware of. This is a great car. It has very little work to be done to be 100%, but it is definitely a driver as is, and very sharp with the mods. The car only has maybe 100 miles on it since the paint, trans, motor and rear end were completed.
