Take Note America . . . . Up for auction with no reserve is a very rare 1970 Mustang Fastback. Nineteen seventy is a one year only for this particular body style of the beloved pony and the lines are what makes everybody hot for the car. She is simply ready for new paint and has gone through a long and costly restoration which included a tremendous amount of body work and mechanical investment also. New floors professionally installed as well as a new driver's side door and a hood replacement also. All four squares were done properly and that was not cheap. The Mustang overall has a very dry body especially with all the prep work done. Her trunk has a new correct gas tank and still has her original Medium Metallic Blue paint and this lovely fastback is ready for the spray booth. Choose your own color or go back to her fabulous factory one. Under that hood is her Ford 351C V8 motor with a C6 automatic on the floor with the only other option being that of factory power steering. She was built like a pony muscle car and she drives like one too. Factory M code four barrel carburetor and when you get the engine pictures you will see some of the nice touches such as the Mustang tunnel cover and the Ford slotted valve covers. She has true dual exhaust that dumps out three quarters of the way right by the rear tires and it sounds throaty (not obnoxious but really throaty). She fires right up and is more than a daily driver as she hustles down the street demanding attention even in this pre paint stage of her life. Her rims are semi polished American Racing five slotted torque thrust wheels with BF Goodrich raised white letter all around. Now for the cockpit which has been more than just freshened up with new carpet and seats front to back. The door skins are good and the glass is too. This Mustang has the highly desirable wooden dash with center clock on the passenger side above her glove box. Nice headliner with shoulder belts even. No air-conditioning so please don't ask if she has one and for this muscle car you won't even want one. Someone is going to pickup this car and throw some fresh paint on her and watch the value go up instantly. The hard work has already been done and now it comes down to personal preference and level of quality. You can drive this car and have lots of fun while you dial her in and make her perfect. This extremely rare year would make a great candidate for a Boss 302 clone which would be very nice and fairly easy to do at this point. New paint is a game changer on this fastback.
