Thank you for viewing my 1988 BMW 325 auction. I will start by saying that this is the cleanest E30 I have ever laid eyes on. I bought the car from the original owner only a month ago based solely on the condition and the fact that I knew I would never find another E30 this clean. Due to lack of storage, I must now sell this pristine little car so someone else can preserve it for years to come. If you are viewing this auction you probably already know the uniqueness of the 1988 325, often referred to as the "super eta". It utilized a larger bottom end of 2.7L with a higher flowing head for the 1988 model year only. It drives wonderfully with a great amount of torque on demand at all times. The 5-speed manual transmission shifts as smooth as you could imagine and the clutch, steering, and brakes all feel great. I encourage potential buyers to come look and drive the car, you will be impressed. Engine idles and sounds great with no smoke or excessive oil consumption. The car looks and feels more like it has 30-50k miles, not 150k. This is a 100% California car that has been garaged it's entire life. The original owner purchased it new from BMW of Concord and it lived its 25 years in the bay area of California. The car was religiously maintained at BMW of San Francisco until one day they said the car "was just too old" and they could not service it anymore. At this point the owner turned to the notable Phaedrus Independent BMW service shop in San Francisco for the remainder of its services. All paperwork from new is included. The owner was a fanatic BMW enthusiast and even purchased the ultra-rare factory service manuals, they will come with the car along with an original sales brochure and service history from day one. I cannot stress how nice this car is. Never in any accident of any sorts, and in-turn, no paintwork ever! The original paint is next to perfect. Interior is in similar condition, dashboard, seats, headliner are all perfect. All original controls and features work as they were intended and this E30 has no modifications. Even the dash buttons are perfect and look unused. The A/C has been converted to R134, but could use a recharge in the near future. Suspension is tight and the car drives like new.
