AXLE TRANS 1966 Ford Mustang Up for auction is my very clean and original 1966 Ford Mustang coupe. This is a great example of an unmolested, California-built Pony car that has never left the state and has Zero rust issues. Original black-plate car (DSO 71, Los Angeles) with a very rare paint code #V (Emberglo Metalic) Only about 5% of Mustangs in 66’ came with that color and it had to be special ordered from factory. This is a matching number’s C-code Pony that still has the factory C-code 289 2v engine and C-4 automatic transmission. Both were rebuilt a few years ago and have less than 40k miles since the rebuild. It has electronic ignition for easy starting and upgraded dual GT exhaust with SpinTech mufflers for a nicer sound. This car is very reliable and would make a great daily driver, I would not hesitate driving it anywhere. Runs very strong and has no mechanical issues, oil leaks, ect.. This Mustang has all original sheet metal including rear quarters, fenders, doors, rust free floor pans, front frame rails, trunk area, and torque boxes. Car was painted about 2 ago by the previous owner with correct factory color code and as you can see in the pics it still shines very nice. Car was upgraded with all the exterior GT accents offered in 66 when it was re-painted. Interior was restored about a year ago and everything has been replaced including Pony upholstery, 4 seatbelts, dashboard, steering wheel, door panels, gauge cluster, rare center console, pony floor mats, glove box, and most of the chrome & misc trim. Car has a Kenwood aftermarket stereo system with CD changer and amp in the trunk (cost $600) and sounds excellent! Best of all it still looks original to the car. All exterior chrome trim is in good shape and most of it has been replaced as well including bumpers, door handles, quarter windows , new GT fog lights & running horse ornament, grille, emblems ect.. Original glass all around in excellent shape as well. Most of the weather-stripping has already been replaced and I will include some extra pieces from a kit I purchased. Suspension is in good shape and car handles great at all speeds. Newer white line tires with brand new styled wheel covers. Upgraded with new front Power disc brakes, car stops great! All electrical works well including dash gauges, heater, turn signals, wipers, horn, interior lights, windshield washer motor ect.. I’ve got a clean CA title in hand with current tags until November 2013 ready to be transferred to the new owner.
