I bought this car new from Rydell Chevrolet in Grand Forks, ND in April, 1980 and have the original window sticker and all maintenance records. It was only driven on nice days and was garaged in North Dakota and Minnesota until I brought the car to Florida in October, 2011. About 6,000 of the 37,000 miles resulted from the 1,700 mile drive to Florida and the fact that it was my "daily driver" until April, 2012 when I bought a Camaro. The car has never been damaged, everything works, and is in original (unmodified) condition with the following comments/exceptions - - Factory paint flaws and a number of other minor issues were corrected by Rydell Chevrolet at the time of delivery. - It has a JVC AM/FM cassette radio. I have the original GM AM/FM eight track radio that was working fine when removed.- The clock tries to run but definitely will not keep time.- The cruise control works well sometimes, but surges enough to be annoying at other times. I have not had it serviced.- I replace the tires with BF Goodrich Radial T/A P255/60R 15 tires in October, 2011. The original Goodyear Eagle's appeared to be in very good condition (sidewalls and tread), but closer examination revealed hairline cracks between the treads. The original spare tire has never been removed from the carrier under the car.- I burned non-oxygenated (no ethanol) fuel in Minnesota. The car would not idle in drive upon arrival in Florida, apparently as a result of oxygenated fuel and lower altitude. I was advised to take the car to Vern's Chevy Service in Clearwater, FL for carburetor adjustment. Vern is known as the "local guru" for carbureted muscle cars, and it now runs as well as I can ever remember. - The brakes were completely rebuilt including new calipers, rubber hoses, rear trailing arm lines, and brake disks by Vern's Chevy Service in November, 2012.- There are some very small chips on the front of the car primarily above the headlights.- There is a very recent short seam split in the lower portion of the drivers seat back. This is not a show car, but I believe it is as nice as any all original 1980 L82 that you may find. It runs like it did when it was new, handles very well, and is a lot of fun to drive.
