If you checking out this bike its fairly clear why..... TWO STROKE ENGINE!!!! This is a beautiful 1976 Suzuki GT 250, two cylinder, two stroke bike with only 4006 miles!!!! The frame and engine have matching numbers. Our shop got this bike from a customer who was in a little over his head as far as getting this bad ass bike running. We quickly figured out the crank seals were bad, a common problem with older two strokes, so we replaced them and rebuild the crank. We've installed a new battery and the tires were replace shortly before we obtained the bike. We've clean and synced the carbs and installed new chrome tapered air filters. Other than that we left the bike alone as it is bone stock.... our job was to get this bike running, and she runs, shifts, and starts great (check out our video to hear her run: http://youtu.be/iu7vIqZYJw8 ) Cosmetically this bike is great shape.... the seat is original with no cuts, tears, or dry rot.... the controls all work with no cracks or major rust.... no rust on the wheels....every component of the engine was broken down cleaned in the parts washer (since we had to break it down anyway to get to the crankshaft)..... the paint is original with no major chips or scratches.... Overall you are looking at a bike in great shape and the pictures should show that. I see only two major defects with the bike1- the tank has a dent from where the previous owner dropped the tank while attempting to get the the petcock..... the dent is pictured and the bike was not laid down.2- the back side of the right pipe has a rough spot where the chrome is beginning to peel which is also pictured. We have a clear title for this bike. The buyer is responsible for scheduling shipping or pickup (zip code 21801).
