1978 Lincoln Continental Town Car

Here is your chance to own a classic Lincoln Continental Town Car four-door sedan. This car is one of the last full sized Lincolns and they are becoming harder to find in such nice shape!

The beautiful exterior is painted in Rosewood Metallic with laser straight body panels and factory fitting panel gaps. All four doors and the trunk open with ease. The massive chrome grille and hideaway headlights are classic Lincoln. The light covers flip up and down quickly and the corner marker lights complete the retro look.

The three-quarter vinyl top is original and features Lincoln’s signature porthole windows and original opera lights between the doors on the pillar posts. All the glass is factory original. The beautiful chrome bumpers and impact strips are in superb condition. The wheel well moldings, rocker panels, and window trim are all present and straight.

The exterior really comes together with Lincoln’s signature full dish wheel caps. The caps are perfect with no curb rash or dents. Each wheel is wrapped in new white-walled Hancook tires size 235-75-15.

This powerful Lincoln retains the factory original 460 V8 and is mated to an automatic transmission. It starts instantly and idles smoothly. It doesn’t smoke, burn, or drip any oil. The automatic transmission engages quickly and shifts smoothly between all the gears.

Take a look at the engine compartment. All the original factory stamps and stickers are still present on the firewall and valve covers. Even the factory chalk marks are still on the firewall! Recently, it recieved a major tune up from the local Lincoln dealership and new mufflers and exhaust.

The supple leather interior is even nicer than the photos depict. The leather is mob in color and glove soft. The springs and foam are not worn down and all the power functions work properly. The original headliner is crack free and does not sag. Even the maroon carpets are plush and show no signs of wear.

The trunk is clean and dry without any signs of moisture damage. The trunk lid still has the original factory stamping. All of the factory equipment, including the spare tire and jack, are unused.

Inside each door jam you will find perfect doorsills without any dents or scratches. The rubber gaskets and weather stripping are soft and tear free. Cruise down the highway in silence. You won’t hear any wind noise in this Lincoln.

A classic Lincoln interior wouldn’t be complete without a Cartier timepiece. It also wouldn’t be a Lincoln if it didn’t come with top of the line luxury and convenience features. Everything is power and it works! Power windows, six-way power seats, power trunk, and cruise control. You can even enjoy some of the classic tunes on the FM 8-Track stereo.

The dimensions of this full-sized Lincoln are 19’6” long with a 127-inch wheelbase. The undercarriage is clean and dry. You won’t find any rust on this west coast vehicle. It is all original and everything works as it should.
