1968 VW Beetle Standard Swing Axle Convertible Excellent Condition Yukon Gold with 67k miles
Purchased from VW Princeton in 1968 and driven until 1973 when it was stored in a garage. Purchased by a VW Master Certified Technician in 2003 and he went over the entire car. The exterior was profesionally painted, the interior features new carpets and front seat covers. The convertible is a new Karmann top which was $3,000 itself. The engine is original and a 1650 single port with the original carbs and distributor with only 800 miles since being rebuilt.
This is a great example of an early Beetle Convertible. Most of the car is original including the floorpan and doors and the parts that were replaced are all factory OEM VW components. This car is rust feee. The owner takes pride in working for VW and when rebuilding this car strived to keep it original and correct. Everything works including the heat.
Won 1st place at VW/Audi Show N Go in Englishtown, NJ and 2nd place at the VW Super Jam in Maple Grove, NJ.
