Vehicle Detail
Safari-Ari1955 Pontiac Safarifor sale 55 Safari, these were Pontiacs version of the Nomad, but were more exspensive and are way more rare than a Nomad! This car is a solid survivor, with original paint WITH AWESOME PATINA!!!!This is my favorite car we own! We named it Safari-Ari (our son's name is Ari) Wish we could keep her but this pays for the next project to get underway, so she must go! The Safari is a power steering and power brake carThe interior is all new, including carpet, leather wrapped steering wheel! and stained wood! in the back that just looks so RICH and nice! gives the car that beach ready feel! The headliner is the original and in decent shape, but could be changed out? The dash is original paint and is in real good shape! The Safari has around 69,000 miles on the odometer, the original engine starts right up and runs great! and sounds amazing! through the new dual pipes! The brakes are all new(the pedal is stiff but I will look into it this week). The fuel tanks has been boiled out and looks like new inside, and has new sending unit. I'm not sure if anythig has ever been done to the engine? I steamed it and threw some paint on her and tried to detail the engine compartment up. The front floors have been replaced and small section over the gas tank, other than that floors were real solid. The roof edge above the drip rails had the normal nomad/safari rust, which was cut out and repaired and body work roughed in with some flat paint over it, but looks great! The rockers and outriggers are super solid, and the undercarriage has been painted black and undercoated. The only rust left is in the front of the hood and is visible in the photos, but adds to the overall look of the carThe car has some bfg wide white walls in great shape! look like new! The rear has new lowering blocks and u-bolts, the front just had a couple coils cut out, so this car could be brought back to stock in an hour or less!I tried not to hack this rare car up at all, but still give it some hot rod flavor! The pics don't do this Safari justice! it is one cool car in person! and you won't find another quite like it, or run into another one while out driving it! Check out all the pics, if you need any other pics just email me and I will send you someThe car is titled and we are selling worldwide as long as funds are cleared before the car leaves! Thanks for looking!
