Up for auction is a stunning example of the very rare Gold limited edition GL1000. Honda made just 2000 of these to tribute the 200th anniversary of the U.S.A. At the time there were 1,700 or so Honda dealers in the U.S.A. Therefore each dealer was only allowed one of these to sell. This bike recently won 3rd place at the Dana Point Concours, 1st place at Los Alamitos Wings Wheels and Rotors show and is invited to the 2013 Palos Verdes Concours held at Trump National Golf Coarse in Sept. I am the third owner and have had the bike for a year. Most of it's life was spent in the hands of a motorcycle police officer in Oxnard California. He took impeccable care of this bike, and rumor has it that the bike has never been ridden in the rain. This bike was completly serviced and tuned just prior to my purchase. I have only ridden it sparingly and to shows. Everyone who has seen it says they have never seen a better one. It has never been down and has always been kept inside. There is a little added bling to this bike along with his initials engraved in the tank plate. The original is included. These bikes are going up in value and are highly rare and collectable, even Otis Chandler had one in his museum that sold for $22,000. One sold six monthes ago for $20,000 that was new in a crate.
