Up for auction is a very clean ORIGINAL 1982 Jeep Cj-8 SCRAMBLER. I have this listed as a 1980 because autocheck shows the title to be rebult. IT IS NOT!!! THE JEEP WENT THROUGH A CLASSIC CAR AUCTION IN KY LISTING THE REBUILT MOTOR, TRANS DIFF AND FRONT AND REAR END. THAT IS HOW BRAND APPEARD IN AUTO CHECK, THE TITLE HAS NO BRANDS AND SHOWS CLEAR. I HAVE A CLEAR TITLE IN HAND FOR THIS SCRAMBLER VIN # 1JCCM88E3CT019384. The jeep was not salvage, hence why I have a free and clear title in hand. Jeep has 140,000 original miles but under 10,000 since restoration. This is a rare find, only 27000 scramblers were ever built and many of those were ruined or rusted away. This IS NOT a remanufactured body or fiberglass. This is the real deal!! All original metal body, original numbers matching inline 6, original 4 speed manual trans, original frame...This beauty spent the majority of its life in kentucky prior to being sold to a collector in tennessee. Once in tennessee the jeep was a conversation piece in the owners extravagent basement for years before he restored it. The basement was a museum of sorts, housing various antique autos, muscle cars, exotics, and motorcycles. It was always climate controlled and kept as clean as a whistle. Then there was the restoration which consisted of undercoating the rust free frame, rebuilding the original motor and trans, installing new exhaust, springs, shackles, and various other items, repainting the body (its original red of course), installing new seats, and rhino lining the floor and bed. Jeep has disc brakes in the front and drum in the rear. This is a turn key vehicle that lacks nothing. As you can see from the photos the top and doors are also in excellent condition, not common for these scramblers. The motor purrs like a kitten, the clutch is nice and smooth, the gears shift in and out great, the 4x4 functions without any issue, lights all work, gauges all function as should, heck even the parking break is operational. The original body is extremely straight, and not full of filler. No rust bubbles, patch work, or cracking. There are no leaks from the trans, oil pan, transfer case, or front and rear end. This is a REAL scrambler, not some molded fiberglass slapped on a remanufactured frame. I have 2 sets of wheels for this truck and both will be included if my reserve is met. One set is the original white spoke style wheel with new tires mounted on them (set of 5) and the other is a set of 4 aluminum wheels (currently on the jeep).
