Vehicle Detail
1978 Pontiac Grand LeMans: This car was recently traded to the local Nissan dealer by a gentleman in his 70's. He had owned the vehicle since new originally titling in January of 1978. He purchased a used 370z (you got to give him credit!). I sent the vehicle to be serviced and the fluids were changed, compression was checked and it was tuned up. It was in great shape mechanically. Has a recent PA inspection (see pics). The exhaust is relatively new along with the rear tires. The fronts have about half there life left. The paint is in pretty good condition with a few minor issues. I haven't been able to find any real rust. There is some surface on the rear quarters where the stones have worn off the paint (see pics). The outside drivers side rear plastic panel has paint fading (see pics). Otherwise there is just some chips (touched up by owner). There are no dents or serious scrapes. The body panels are straight and original. I couldn't find any previous paint work or accident damage. Based on the underside condition, I would would guess this car spent its life garaged. The interior is original and near perfect. There are no rips or tears in the seats. The rugs have two small stains about the size of a dime near the passenger door. The dash and deck lid are great. The dash gauges and controls all are in working order. The only issue is the headliner, which is beginning to come down (see pics). The car is equipted with power windows, a\c and rear defroster, rear side mirror and am radio. Also power steering and brakes. It runs and drives great. Its fun to drive and would make a great entry into the collector car market or a bases for a conversion. How about a everyday driver?? Good luck in advance and congrats, You'll have a blast.
