Vehicle Detail
Well I'm sure no expert on Plymouth's, but I just could not pass up this "barn find" I came across. This 1969 road runner has been sitting idle in a barn for over 10 years or more. This car is dirty and just how I received it. First I will list the minuses as I see them. This car will need to be restored. but it is very restoreable. The car came with a 383 V-8/4 speed combination. It now has a 1970 440 v-8 engine.( I have turned the engine over by hand). It has no radiator. The heads, and intake manifold were in the trunk, and are now, sitting on the engine. The drive line is complete, and in the car. You can see it has some dents and dings in the pictures. Although not in the pictures, I have the rear seat (comes with the car). Now I will list some of its plusses... This is a genuine RM23 ROAD RUNNER. It's a D-21 manual 4 speed car with bucket seats. I have included pictures of the 3 body vin number locations (rear trunk -radiator mount -windshield V.I.N. plate ) They all match. I have a clear and open Colorado title for it. This car has an R-4 paint code which is "performance red", and a very desirable color. The floors, rockers, trunk, wheel wells, etc, are excellent for it's age and not rusty like most. It's sure not perfect, and won't win any beauty contests. It is almost 45 years old...And I am selling it as-is.I would much rather you plan for the worst, and hope for the best, than be disappointed in any way.Now...All this having been said...I can't imagine buying a better "barn-fresh" car like this to restore for the price. My opening bid is $6,500.00 with no reserve.I have tried to be as honest as I can with my description. I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when I found this car. It is a project car, but could be perfect for the right person. Let me know if you have any questions, and I will do my best to get you an answer...Thanks.Term of sale I can not ship..... This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, however I can.
