Vehicle Detail

Normal.dotm 0 0 1 277 1580 Embry Riddle 13 3 1940 12.0 0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false 1966 vw bus two tone L512 velvet green paint with L87 pearl white top. Factory two tone grey upholstery. Factory M code “114” 6 pop out windows. Bus still has its original green paint under the white that someone painted. I began to power wash the bus and the white comes off revealing the factory green underneath. This is a super straight bus with a clean nose. The only body damage I can find is in the rear lower corners it has been bumped and the bumper put a crease in them. Which is shown in the pictures. Has really good floors, other than the front floor which has a few small holes. Easily repaired. All the dog legs, jack points outriggers are in great shape. The only other rust I can find is rocker panel below the cargo doors and a very small amount under the battery. We have included pictures so you can see for yourself. The rockers on the driver side look really good. Again you can see the factory paint under the white. The body gaps are good and all doors operate well. The engine door is pretty good. The rear apron will need to be replaced. Pretty bent up. The driver door handle from inside does not work properly. UNCUT dash in perfect shape other than someone laid a vinyl wrap on it which we removed but the adhesive still shows. It will come off with some additional effort. We just replaced the drag link on the steering and it works perfectly. No play in the steering box and handles great. Brakes are in working order and work well. The engine looks to be the original motor and starts up with the first try. Runs really good. The Transaxle shifts smoothly and holds all gears well. First gear occasionally pops out under load. We have owned several of these over the past 20 years and this is truly the most honest straightest of them all. This is a great bus with a great color combination and with the six pop outs really a great investment.
