I am afraid that I will not be able to pay for this vehicle for a few reasons. - I am hoping to get to the US in about 4 weeks and then export it to Senegal within a few weeks. The climate there will be too hot and I will need to get the car fitted with a good A/C unit. - I am also worried about how this car will be serviced in Africa. - I don't have a US or Canadian bank account and hence timely payment might be difficult. - I am also unsure of how transfer of title will work since I am not Amercian or have any residency in your country. I believe this car is a great deal for someone who can take care of this car in the US and I fear it would be a waste to export it to somewhere where it would depreciate fast. Up for auction is a very cool, mostly all original 1973 toyota fj40 land cruiser. This vehicle has the numbers matching motor and under 51000 original miles!!! The body is straight and clean as is the frame. These are very rare and hard to find vehicles in any condition!!! Pristine they can bring up to $40,000. This example features an inline 6 backed by a 3 speed manual trans. The 4x4 functions as should. Many new parts. There is a new carb, new clutch, new lock outs, new floor pans, new paint, new seats, and brakes. The interior is rhino lined for added protection. The fj runs and drives well, turns heads everywhere!!! You simply dont see them on the road. This isnt a fourty thousand dollar show piece, but its not junk!!! The body is straight and rust free, the frame has no rust or rot, the tires are good...its a great driver and could easily be made a show piece on a tight budget. Its not a mechanic special either. The value on these are going up and the collectability is definately there, im sure you know this since your looking at it. I have seen rusted out beat up cruisers bring upward of $8000, so im certain that my reserve on this vehicle is very fair and very low. Also, this vehicle has power steering and hydrolic brakes.
