HERE IS A GORGEOUS LOOKING AND NICELY OPTIONED 1967 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK GTA FACTORY A-CODE 289V8 4BBL. CAR THAT HAS BEEN RECENTLY REFURBISHED. VERY COOL CRUISER WAITING FOR A NEW OWNER! Please note: wheels/tires pictured do not come with the car but can be purchased separately if desired. Please e-mail me with questions or to set up an inspection to see the car in person. AUCTION MAY BE STOPPED AT ANY TIME. It was basically an original survivor that has had a repaint recently in the original Wimbledon white you see in the pictures. Interior is mostly original with the exception of having had a color change to black. Motor is original and does not appear to have been altered or hotrodded in any way, all stock down to the original intake, manifolds, valve covers, etc. from what I can tell. Body is VERY STRAIGHT with excellent original gaps. Doors open and close flawlessly. This is a solid car. Under the hood lies the factory MATCHING NUMBERS 289ci/225hp 4V A-code motor that is all stock. Fires right up and sounds great. Good compression all around and excellent oil pressure last time I had it serviced. Mechanically it fires right up and sounds great. Transmission is solid and shifts good through all the gears without any noises or grinding. I drove the car about once a week, both around town and on the highway and it performs great. You can cruise with it on the highway all day and I would trust it to drive anywhere at the drop of a hat. Very easy to drive with power steering and brakes. Interior is basically all stock with no modifications. Seats are in good shape with minor wear on seat backs (front lower sections were both reupholstered, rear lower section has a couple of seam splits). Carpet is older but presentable. Door panels are in good overall shape. Headliner looks good with no major issues. Dash pad is good. Steering wheel has various cracks and should be upgraded to a nicer one. Console in fairly good shape. Overall very presentable for a nice driver. Underside has a GOOD FRAME on it with no major rot holes or heavy rust that I was able to see. Floors appear to be in EXCELLENT shape overall (look to have been professionally replaced a few years ago), SOLID torque boxes and shock towers as well. Trunk pan is SOLID and has had a couple of patches. Overall structurally sound and in excellent shape. Chrome is good for a driver and shows well, but not absolutely perfect. The old girl is NOT perfect by any means of course so please keep that in mind when bidding. Paint is in GOOD overall shape throughout (done professionally with base/clear and looks good but obviously not a $10K show car paintjob). Some minor filler was used by lower quarters, rockers and lower doors but looks straight. Panel fit is pretty good, needing very minor adjustments only. Not working: horn, couple of gauges including speedometer/odometer (needs new cable), could use a couple of bulbs here and there where needed. Missing: radio, door tag, spare/jack, perhaps a couple other small things I can't remember now. Steering column shakes a bit and could use steering knuckle tightened a bit more. Transmission has a mild shift kit installed that acts a little weird unless perfectly centered on "D". Front tip of hood has a tiny 1/2" crack.I am sure there are several other things I am forgetting at the moment, so overall she is not perfect and to do it justice should be completely restored to your liking, or you can just drive it as is. Please note, I cannot remember every single issue with the car, nor do I know everything wrong with it, as it is after all over 50 years old so keep that in mind. If you just want a GOOD LOOKING AND NICELY OPTIONED DRIVER that runs/drives great, then this is the car for you. If you want a show car, it will need a considerable amount of restoration to bring it up to that level of course. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE BIDDING OR SERIOUSLY INTERESTED TO COME LOOK AT IT IN PERSON. I WILL BE GLAD TO SHOW IT TO YOU TOP TO BOTTOM SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO.
