Offfered for sale is a completely refurbished 1986 Toyota Land Cruiser HJ60 VIN JT3HJ60G7G0034709. Completely RUST FREE, Diesel, Left Hand Drive, 5 Speed (just had 5th gear shift fork, sleeve and synchromesh springs replaced), rebuilt engine (50 000 km / 31 000 mi ago), power steering, factory A/C (recharged and blows ice cold), vacuum assisted brakes and clutch, and refurbished to a factory shine. For those of you who might not know of this legendary machine, the HJ60 was built with longevity in mind, using a 4 L high compression 6 cylinder diesel with direct injection. Engine will achieve ~25 mpg and the engine design will allow it to run on Bio-Diesel and/or vegetable oil (separate fuel tank not yet installed). The engine was rebuilt after ~400 000 km by NC Machine in Vancouver using OEM Toyota parts. The engine was installed in a clean RUST FREE FJ60 shell from Seattle WA by Torfab (The Northwest Source for Cruisers). This is truly a multi-use vehicle suitable for daily driving, camping, family hauling and expedition trips. The vehicle has power steering, vacuum assisted brakes and clutch and manual everything else, cloth interior, 5 speed transmission, new clutch, new exhaust, front axle was rebuilt with Martin Crawler inner axle seals, new brake rotors and pads, new Koyo trunion and wheel bearings, birfield joints serviced, ultra-dependable 24 V electrical system, brand new ARB bull bar designed for use with most 8000 lb winches, complete OME suspension with with 2" lift, NitroCharger shocks, new polyurethane bushings and greasable shackles, 33" BFG All Terrain tires with ~65% tread, Alpine Stereo with Ipod and AUX inputs. The only way to own a rust free left hand drive HJ60 is to either convert an imported right hand model or to do a diesel conversion on a clean FJ60 and the project cost for either is easily $30 000 and will require a ton of time and effort. This vehicle is being relisted as the winner of the previous auction backed out after realizing that it would be too much "trouble" to meet the vehicle in person at the border in order to complete the paperwork required to import the vehicle to the United States. As this vehicle is more than 25 years old, there are no restrictions and should be a fairly straightforward process of just following the required documentation.
