Vehicle Detail

Charming 1926 Dodge Coupe 6-volt. Restored about 12 years ago. Good rubber. Basically a very solid and quite correct car and fairly squared away. Front end is tight; steering box is tight; had the cover off the differential and the carrier assembly's in good shape. Haven't started it. Going by the numbers; having the gas tank cleaned and coated; installing new fuel line; rebuilding the vacuum tank. Replaced the water pump/generator coupler. Installed new running board rubber. When we get the tank back we'll start it and see what we got, which I'm expecting will be fine.On Jan-28-13 at 11:07:32 PST, seller added the following information: Charming 1926 Dodge Coupe 6-volt. When we get the tank back we'll start it and see what we got, which I'm expecting will be fine. Just had an inquiry and my response added information to the current state of the Dodge. Here is my response, when asked about the gas tank and other things: "Our best tank/radiator guy in the area has had the flu and is just now getting back to work, but I think I'll have the tank next week. Paint is good, could stand a good waxing. Top is very nice. Gauges are correct. I don't know about the clutch, but the brakes work. The car was running and driving two years ago before the owner stopped using it. Re: the wiring, the previous owner put in non-standard wiring, so it probably needs a harness." On Jan-31-13 at 14:20:17 PST, seller added the following information: I've finished some items and I've added some pictures. Rebuilt the carburetor, installing a new float and gasket set. Rebuilt the vacuum tank. Installed the right 6-volt cables to the starter/switch, along with a new ground strap. Car turns over nicely. Have not tried to start it yet. Still waiting on the gas tank. Also a picture of the running boards with their new rubber. On Feb-01-13 at 15:02:41 PST, seller added the following information: REVISED FEBRUARY 1st. The car runs. Sounds good. On Feb-03-13 at 12:56:08 PST, seller added the following information: REVISED FEBRUARY 3rd: Just finished putting the new fuel line in. Used all of the six retainer clamps (the guy before me only used three and had unions in the line). Now we have a single line running from the tank to the vacuum tank, fresh new copper. The tank will show up after the sale and then I'll put her in, add gas, charge the system and I'm done.
