HERE IS A GORGEOUS 1957 CHEVROLET CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE ROADSTER KIT WITH LATER MODEL 350CI V8 AND 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, AS WELL AS MANY OPTION UPGRADES, THAT IS A TON OF FUN TO DRIVE AND IS READY FOR A NEW OWNER TO ENJOY HER!Please e-mail me with questions or to set up an inspection to see the car in person.AUCTION MAY BE STOPPED AT ANY TIME.Vehicle came out of sunny Florida. It was used as a promotion car by a local business down in New Port Richey, FL to attract new customers and clientele. Since I got it a couple of years ago, I've worked on it a little at a time, trying to bring it back to stock as much as possible as you'll see in the pictures. The kit was constructed by a company called ACAUTOS I believe and it appears to be one of their earlier kits since only the hood and trunk and functional. Anybody that is familiar with these cars knows that even a project 56-57 Corvette can get up to $30k, and that's one that needs to be completely restored. There are however kits on the market that reproduce the fiberglass bodies of 56-57 Corvettes at a fraction of that cost, so that you can build the car to your specifications and of course to your liking. OPTIONS:Power steeringPower DISC brakesDual exhaust 4 speed manual transmission 350 Chevy V8 mildly built15" steel wheels with factory hubcaps with spinners and whitewall bias ply tiresTilt steering columnMechanically it fires right up and sounds great along with the nice and throaty exhaust system. Motor is a 350ci V8 (bored 0.030 over with a few minor internal upgrades like a mild camshaft and such) pushing out approx. 250-275hp. It has an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, Mallory distributor, full headers into dual performance mufflers, Edelbrock 4bbl. carburetor and lots more. Transmission is solid and shifts good through all the gears without any noises or grinding. Now as for driving the car, i've mostly driven it around town here and there and every once in a while on the highway on the way to a cruise night or local classic car function.Interior is nicely presentable. Seats are excellent with no rips. Door panels very nice overall. Carpet is worn but presentable. Steering wheel in excellent with no cracks. Dash looks good. Overall beautifully presentable for an everyday driverUnderside has a SOLID RUST-FREE frame. Floorboards are in excellent shape with NO RUST and NO HOLES or patches of any kind. It's as nice as you would want from a Corvette. The old girl is NOT perfect by any means of course so please keep that in mind when bidding. Paint is in fairly good shape and cleans up nice for a driver, but was NOT a $10k paintjob so please keep that in mind (looks good but has some issues of course like small dings, a few touch-ups, some scratches, some paint flaws on hood etc). Starter needs to be shimmed (that's why it sounds like it grinds in the video). Gauges on dash are not all connected (fuel gauge, tachometer and a couple of other ones work, others do not). Not working: signals, horn (not connected), perhaps a bulb or two may need replacing (headlights and brake lights work well). Has a small oil leak if left sitting for too long. There is NO TOP (the doors and rear compartment cover are fixed, while only the hood and trunk open and close). Missing: front bumperettes, rear horizontal bumpers (both of which are optional of course), spare/jack. Chrome has some pitting in a few places but overall fairly presentable. So overall she is not perfect and will need some form of TLC depending on how nice you want it to be and what you plan to do with the car. Please note, I cannot remember every single issue with the car, nor do I know everything wrong with it, as it is after all decades old so keep that in mind.If you just want a GREAT LOOKING and obviously RUST-FREE DRIVER needing tlc, this is the car for you. If you want a show car, it will need some considerable investment or total restoration to bring it up to that level of course. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE BIDDING OR SERIOUSLY INTERESTED TO COME LOOK AT IT IN PERSON. I WILL BE GLAD TO SHOW IT TO YOU TOP TO BOTTOM SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO.Auction Rules:We would like to encourage you to Please follow our rules of the auction and refrain from creating your own!
