This is one serious Road Racing / Cannonball Run build Plymouth. This is actually a 1972 Plymouth Satellite and was a 60,000 mile little old lady car that was in beautiful rust free condition. I want to say at the beginning of description to PLEASE ask any and all questions you may have before trying to win this auction. If you win auction and car shows up and you dont find a part or piece for the car, then it will have been that I didnt have it. This car is still a project to complete - but what a magnificent car this will be when done !!! A man with alot of money and a huge " itch " to race a Cannonball Run acquired the services of Rocket Restorations in Olympia Wa. to build his race car. No money was spared in the labor or workmanship in this build - but the winds changed and before car was finished it changed hands. There is $70,000 into this build give or take a few thousand dollars, and car is not done. A Sportsman or enthusiast will be getting this car and all its parts and pieces at a fraction of the cost to build - meaning its almost done but does need paint and put together. My reserve for this auction is under $20K ( and no, its not $19,999 ) Most Mopar enthusiast know of or have met the crew at Rocket Restorations and can expect the same amount of detail in their concourse restored Hemi Road runner as they can the build of this 72 Satellite Road Racer. There will be absolutely NO flex in this body as it is completely reinforced with a complete front to back Roll Cage, Frame Connectors that almost appear factory, every welded seam that would be compromised by any flexing in body was re-welded stronger. The K-member's welds were all redone much stronger and a skid plate welded in place. This car is rigid ! The front bumper was welded to fenders and the gap between them was not filled with Bondo - it was done correctly. The car is a 72 with 1971 grille and rear bumper. The cage in trunk for Fuel Cell was constructed to be removeable. No expense was spared when it came to quality parts - the front suspension / steering is all Firm Feel with the quick ratio steering box, power steering pump was completely refurbished. Has the tubular upper control arms and brand new still in box Koni Adjustable shocks for front and rear. Has a complete Baer Disc Brake system for all 4 corners, 13" front and 12" rear and has knob style adjustable Proportioning valve with SBS Scandanavian Dual Carbon Pro Race brake pads. Complete TTI aluminized 3" Mandrel Bent exhaust system with Dynomax Ultra Flow Mufflers - your gonna hear this car coming before you ever see it ! Complete Keisler hydraulic clutch kit for the A833 4 Speed kit includes Pedal, Pressure Plate and Clutch ( your still going to need the 8 bolt Flywheel as engine has a Kellogg Crank and your going to need a Scatter shield) Wheels are 17 inch E.T.'s mounted on front to Nitto NTSSS 255/40 ZR17 and 315/35 ZR17 rear Has a Fiberglass Road runner hood I have a 4.30 489 Case Sure Grip that goes with car I have a 4 speed to go with car and an E body 4 speed hump The engine : is a Stroker 358 that was built from bottom up using ALL NEW parts and pieces including Block from Chrysler, by Somers Automotive Machine in Vancouver Wa. It is a complete W2 headed top of motor and only run time was on the Dyno machine and is putting out 496 H.P. I have documentation on this engine build and all Dyno sheets for this motor. If a person were to finish this car, it would be absolutely insane with its new handling characteristics and 7,000 RPM 358 C.I. engine and a 4 speed. Like I stated at beginning of description, this car was being built to compete in a some what illegal racing program from Coast to Coast. Atleast that is what I understand about a Cannonball Race. Finish this car in your own colors and customization taste. All the reinforcing of body has been done for you. If you have ever priced any of these parts, you know they are not cheap !! I may entertain a trade, but it would be for a completed Muscle Car with a higher value than my reserve ( would have to be a local trade though as I am not going to pay shipping expenses ) - remember, there is about $70K into this car as it sits right now. Money YOU wont have to pay to have this type of skilled work done if you have ever entertained the thought of building something of this magnitude. $14,000 just in engine alone that is verifiable - actually all of this is verifiable. Payment : due within 7 days of auctions ending and a $500.00 Pay Pal deposit within 24 hours of auctions close. Car is safe in a climate controlled garage and can stay there for upto 30 days of auctions end. Any longer and arrangements will have to be made. I will help with loading of this car onto a Transport and a Transport can be brought close to my garage.
