Vehicle Detail
I built this Suburban for hunting and off roading a couple of years ago and I am now moving so I must sacrifice it. I didn't expect to invest as much as I did into it but once I started, it kind of took on a life of it's own. After investing over $13k my wife insisted that I stop. I really just wanted to have something dependable that I could travel the backwoods in and it has proven to be an incredibly tough and very dependable truck for everything from a daily driver to throwing my friends in and heading to the hunting grounds. This is heavily modified suburban that started as a 1/2 ton and ended up as an awesome 1 ton utility vehicle. Motor: 1. New (678 miles) 468 CID 450hp, 450 fpt, big block. New Scat Crank, Comp RV Roller Cam, Comp Roller Rockers and lifters, Edelbrock Performer, Comp Timing Gear and Chain. New Summit Quadrajet off road carburator (for good gas mileage), Edelbrock 650 Performer Carburator in the box (for more performance), Doug Thorley Chrome Headers, rebuilt A/C with new hoses and new evap, new master cylinder, new power booster, new radiator, new hoses, new belts, new Edelbrock distributor, rebuilt heads ported and polished, new wires, new plugs and all new filters. The motor starts and runs excellent with plenty of power and tork. It will pull the truck up pretty much anything if you have the courage. 2. The drivetrain includes a completely rebuilt (less than 200 miles) Turbo 400 with heavy duty build kit and brand new case, fresh 208 Transfer Case with BW build kit installed. Also included is a spare 208 transfer case in good running condition. The front end is a freshly rebuilt (less than 2000 miles) Dayna 60. The rearend is a Corporate 12, full floater with Detroit Locker and 4.11 gears. It has brand new Soft Ride Suspension with 6" lift and heavy duty springs, extra front and rear drive lines included. The suspension is tight and responsive with no lane wondering or noise issues. 3. Micky Thomson 35" Baja Tires with Micky Thomson Rims. Tires are about 1/3 worn. Brand new matching spare and rim included. Also included is a new (less than 500 miles) set of (4) 35" studded winter tires and rims with a brand new set of logger chains. 4. 12,000 pound Warn Industrial Winch with snatch gear, chains and new High Lift jack included. 5 The body and paint are in good shape with no rust. The paint is not show quality and has some the usual road chips but is still in great condition. The only apparent dent is a very small dent located on one of the rear barn door. There is also a small piece missing from the front grill. 6. The interior is gray cloth with no rips or tears. The dashboard has the usual few cracks which can be covered with a new cap. All of the gauges work perfectly and and I have installed all new manual gauges. They include, tach, temp, voltage, oil and tranny temp. There is an after market CD Player installed with factory speakers. If your looking for an excellent opportunity for a parts vehicle to build your off roader or crawler or use this one you found it. If your a serious bidder and if I can answer any questions please don't hesitate to email me. The successful bidder will be responsible for shipping On Jan-18-13 at 18:13:06 PST, seller added the following information: I have been asked the question (3) times "what is the reserve price". I'm sorry that I can't give that information out as I think it's against ebay policy. However, I will say that you can barely purchase the two sets of wheels and tires for what I have as the reserve. So, you can kind of figure it out on your own. Yes, this is a steal whether you are just looking to rob all the good parts or your planning on using the whole thing. I suggest looking up prices for the Dayna 60, a fresh motor, fresh tranny, fresh transfer case, 2 sets of 35" wheels and tires, the winch etc and you can figure out very quickly what kind of deal your getting. It's starting to make me depressed. LOL On Jan-29-13 at 11:02:11 PST, seller added the following information: I have been asked if there is rear A/C in this vehicle: The vehicle does not have rear A/C. Almost all of the A/C parts are new and the A/C blows cold. I live in Central Oregon and it frequently gets over 100 degrees and I have never had a complaint about it being to hot in the back of the truck. It may take a few extra minutes to cool down but what you save in gas may be worth the extra time. I have also been asked if the vehicle will make it to different parts of the USA. I believe the vehicle is solid and will have no problem traveling. However, it should not be considered a gas friendly vehicle or a vehicle that will be as comfortable as your newer pickup truck. It has large tires, low gears and a big motor. I would recommend that anyone who is interested, research options before traveling to pick the truck up as shipping may be less expensive after you consider plane fair, transportation, lodging and gas. I live in Central Oregon about 20 minutes from Redmond, Airport. I can provide transport from the airport. If you fly to Portland it's about 2.5 hours away and you will need transportation.
