AXLE TRANS Up for auction is my original 1966 Ford Mustang coupe. This is a great example of a California-built Pony car that has never left the state and has Zero frame and body panel rust issues. Still has the factory T-code 200ci 1v engine and C-4 automatic transmission. Both were rebuilt several years ago and run fine. This Pony has all original sheet metal and it has never been in an accident. Original quarters, fenders, and doors, everything lines up perfectly just as it should. Doors open and close fine with no sagging. Original rust free floor pans, front & rear frame rails, trunk area, and torque boxes. Only area with some minor surface rust is on the passenger side window gutter rail which is a common issue with these cars, other than that this car is very rust free. Interior was restored a couple years ago. Everything has been replaced including upholstery, headliner, carpet, door panels, ect. Original glass all around in excellent shape as well. Suspension is in very good shape and car handles great with no squeaks or rattling. All the front suspension bushings and ball joint have been replaced with new shocks all around as well. The car was upgraded with front disc brakes and it stops great. Car has 5 lug wheels now instead of 4 lug, which I believe are Mag 500 wheels with newer tires (about 80% tread). All electrical works well including headlights, tail lights, turn signals, all gauges, wipers, heater, interior lights ect.. It has Sony Explode speakers in the kick panels and 6x9’s in the rear deck. I’m including a head unit stereo that still needs to be hooked up to the speakers. I was going to install it in the glove box but never got around to it. As you can see from the pics this Mustang is still somewhat of a running driving project car. It was painted about 8 years ago with a cheap paint job that ended up cracking so there’s paint chips and faded spots throughout. The car is very straight however so it wouldn’t need much body work other than prep work for a nice paint job. The engine bay could use some detailing as well. I think this would be a good candidate for a V8 conversion since it already has front disc brakes. With a decent paint job and some minor cosmetic work you can have a very nice 66 Pony for not a lot of money. I’ve got a clean CA title in hand with current tags ready to be transferred to the new owner. Car is available for inspection by any serious bidder during this auction so feel free to contact me to set up an appointment. As all other classic cars it is being sold in AS IS condition with no warranty implied or expressed with this sale. Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything prior to bidding. Not really interested in any trades so please don’t ask. This is a NO RESERVE listing so the car will go to the highest bidder no matter what. View my feedback and bid with confidence. Thanks for viewing my listing and HAPPY BIDDING!!! As you can see from the pics the valve train is very clean. Car runs excellent. I also just had the carb rebuilt and installed a new fuel pump last week. Starts every time and it's very reliable. Great on gas..!!!
