1966 Ford Mustang Up for auction is my very clean and original 1966 Ford Mustang coupe. This is a great example of an unmolested, California-built Pony car that has never left the state and has Zero rust issues. Still has the factory C-code 289 2v engine and C-4 automatic transmission. Both were rebuilt a few years ago and run excellent. Engine was upgraded with an Edelbrock aluminum intake and 4 barrel Edelbrock carb, long tube headers, and Flowmaster exhaust. It sounds very beefy and likes to set off alarms =) This is also a factory power steering car so it’s very easy to drive. This Mustang has all original sheet metal and it has never been in an accident. Original quarters, fenders, and doors, everything lines up just as it should. Doors open and close fine with no sagging. Original rust free floor pans, front frame rails, trunk area, and torque boxes. Interior was restored about two years ago. Everything has been replaced including upholstery, headliner, dashboard, door panels, gauge cluster, glove box, and most of the chrome & misc trim. All exterior chrome trim is in good shape as well including both bumpers, front and back windshield trim, quarter windows, ect.. Original glass all around in excellent shape as well. Suspension is in good shape and car handles great at all speeds. It has new shocks all around. Rebuilt drum brakes. Newer 17” chrome wheels and tires. Car does not rub or hit with the larger upgraded wheels as some mustangs tend to. All electrical works well including upgraded HID headlights, LED tail lights, turn signals, all gauges, wipers, cigarette lighter, ect.. I’ve got a clean CA title in hand with current tags until Oct 2013 ready to be transferred to the new owner. This pony is ready for the summer! If you’re looking to turn some heads and get attention then this is the car for you.. Here’s what I think the car still needs; the carpet is getting kinda faded in a few spots so I would suggest changing it out. Still has the factory AM radio and it works fine but the dash speaker just went out so it will need a new one. I was going to leave it just for looks and put a newer stereo in the glove box but never got around to doing it. As you can see in the pictures the car’s paint is faded in a few spots but the body is very straight. It didn’t bother me as much but eventually I wanted to paint it back to factory Sauterne Gold Metallic to make this a true matching numbers car. Aside from that I think it’s an excellent C code California Mustang that can be enjoyed as is or with a little bit of work maybe turned into a trophy winner.
