Vehicle Detail

HERE IS A VERY NICE 1957 CHEVROLET 210 2 DOOR HANDYMAN WAGON (NOMAD'S LITTLE BROTHER) WITH A 350 V8 AND 4 SPEED ON THE FLOOR THAT IS READY TO CRUISE! Please e-mail me with questions or to set up an inspection to see the car in person. Vehicle came out of Minnesota. I bought it from a used car dealer that got the car in on a trade just over a year ago. Previous owner had it repainted in the correct colors, and mildly resto-modded the car with a custom interior, American Racing wheels, upgraded power disc brakes up front and added a 350 V8 and 4 speed transmission to increase the appeal and the fun factor! The list of new parts also includes: NEWER 10 bolt rear end (from S-10 blazer), NEW rear shocks, NEW fuel tank, NEW spare tire, NEW door glass, NEW windshield, NEW 3" custom racing lap belts, NEW exhaust/mufflers, NEWER 2" dropped spindles, NEW front coil springs, etc. etc. Lots of stuff done to this car. I do have the chrome "bullets" that go on the front of the hood (not pictures, but included) OPTIONS: Manual steering Power DISC front brakes Bucket seat interior Dual exhaust (with glass-pack mufflers) 14" American Racing wheels with white letter radial tires 4 Speed manual transmission on the floor Mechanically it fires right up and sounds great along with the nice and throaty exhaust system. Transmission is solid and shifts good through all the gears without any noises or grinding. Now as for driving the car, i've taken it out mostly around the neighborhood here and there for a few functions, every once in a while I take it to a local cruise night. You can cruise with it on the highway all day and I would trust it to drive anywhere at the drop of a hat. Interior was converted some years ago with bucket seats in front, looks very presentable with some small patches on a couple of areas of the seats. Headliner should be replaced, carpet is old but still fairly presentable, dash in fair shape, door panels are nice (I do have the front armrests, which are not pictured). Overall fairly presentable for a driver. Underside has a SOLID frame. Floorboards have had a couple of prior patches through the years and although they are solid with no large holes that I was able to see, they should be redone eventually to do the car justice. The side braces seem to be in unusually good shape, with only one that I saw needing replacement. The old girl is NOT perfect by any means of course so please keep that in mind when bidding. Paint is in fairly good shape and cleans up very nice, but was NOT a $10k paintjob so please keep that in mind (looks good but has some issues of course). Motor puffs some white smoke and could use new seals down the line. Not working: clock, horn, perhaps a bulb or two may need replacing, and a couple of the gauges not reading properly like the speedometer. Missing a couple of the rear crests by the rear quarters and left side dash trim piece to the left of steering wheel. Rear passenger side molding is bent toward the very end where the quarter meets the bumper for some reason. Chrome bumpers could use replacing as they are tired looking. So overall she is not perfect and will need some form of TLC depending on how nice you want it to be and what you plan to do with the car. Please note, I cannot remember every single issue with the car, nor do I know everything wrong with it, as it is after all over 25 years old so keep that in mind. If you just want a GREAT LOOKING RUST-FREE DRIVER needing tlc, this is the car for you. If you want a show car, it will need some considerable investment or total restoration to bring it up to that level of course. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE BIDDING OR SERIOUSLY INTERESTED TO COME LOOK AT IT IN PERSON. I WILL BE GLAD TO SHOW IT TO YOU TOP TO BOTTOM SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO.
