Selling Another Classic European Sports Car I have been a classic car enthusiast for 10 years buying mostly Porsches Mercedes and BMW’s because in my opinion, nothing compares to German engineering. I have also helped several international buyers locate, purchase, and export these beautiful cars back to their place of origin for private collection therefore I accept and welcome bidders from around the world. Some vehicles I sell are my personal cars, others are ones that I am listing on behalf of others, but I always drive the cars and describe them to the best of my ability. Prior to bidding on any of my vehicles, please make sure to ask any questions as your bid is a binding contract stating that you accept the car in AS IS condition. All sales are final- I simply will not put up with anyone who is just shopping or wasting time. PLEASE HAVE FUNDS READY TO MAKE FULL PAYMENT WITHIN 7 DAYS PER AUCTION TERMS . I know that most ebayers and classic car collectors are stand-up people but there are a few out there who simply should not be buying cars online. I do my best to describe the cars as they are in my opinion but in order to make sure that the cars are up to your standards it is your responsibility to inspect the car in person or have your assigned agent inspect the car, otherwise you are buying the car based on my opinion only- I am not a certified car inspector or mechanic- just an enthusiast that has been around a lot of classic cars. That disclaimer being stated, here is the description I offer for this particular car: This is the cleanest 1983 911 SC I have ever come across. Per the records and previous owner, it is a 2 owner car that was purchased new in Santa Cruz by a physician and stayed in his care for the first 130K miles of its life. It has spent the last few years of its life under the care of another physician in Oregon who purchased it from the previous. He rebuilt the transmission and has it very well maintained but it has hardly been driven at all, spending most of it's time stored in a private hangar before I came across it. The car shows very well, the door gaps are as good as I have seen and boast the unmistakable sound when the doors close of a Porsche. This car drives as tight as I have ever experienced in an SC with great handling and steering and the accelerator is super responsive both getting on and off the throttle. The car is well sorted both cosmetically and mechanically and only needs a new owner and to be driven more. This is a very honest car that will be a great collector or daily driver as the car is extremely dry, rust free, and mechanically solid. The new owner will not be disappointed with this car- you just don't find good solid SC's like this around these days. This car comes with the original owners and service manual that show service up to 130K miles in California as shown in the pictures. The tool kit, spare, and everything else you see in the pictures come with the car including a clean and clear title. Please review the pictures below and feel free to ask any questions prior to your bidding. The SC is the next Porsche model to quickly appreciate in value as they are becoming harder to find, especially the more desired coupes. My overall assessment is that this car is in very good condition and is a solid driver or collector car. It runs and drives very well and the motor runs strong. It has been regularly inspected and registered. This car has a NADA classic car value of between $17,900 and $30,400 -- that being said I think it is fair to assume that someone would list this car for sale at around $25,000-$30,000 on Auto Trader or some other retail listing service. This car will sell to the highest bidder- I believe that value is determined by what people are willing to pay for a car which is why I list cars at NO RESERVE. As mentioned this car is in good condition across the board- below is my very detailed an honest description of this car. Most people would just say “excellent condition” and not give all the details but I try to include everything, good and bad. Cosmetically this car is beautiful to look at inside and out and literally has everyone who sees it asking questions about it. The body looks straight and solid with no rust. The paint shines up very nicely and looks to be the original factory color. It was a non smoker so there are no foul smells and the interior is all in good condition. There is no rust- all the pans are solid including the battery housing and front clip. The door panels, carpets, and seats are in great condition. The glass is all clean and has no visible cracks or chips. The window/sunroof regulators work and the gauges all seem to work fine as well. This is the first SC I have seen with a working power antenna for the audio system. The dash is free from cracks or warping and the steering wheel is in good shape. The tires have good tread remaining and all the wheels look to be in great shape. Mechanically the car is solid. This beauty starts right up and runs/sounds clean and strong. Just a glance in the engine compartment will impress the trained Porsche enthusiast as it is evident the car has been taken care of. It looks to have all the key updates recommended for this year model. The brakes are solid and the suspension feels good. The car drives straight without vibrations or pulling one way or another and is extremely tight in steering and driving. I have had the car in the same spot and have yet to see leaks- this one has had great work done and is very dry. The transmission was rebuilt within the last 15K miles and shifts without issues. The AC looks to work as well- it's very cold here in Utah right now so it's hard to gauge how cold it blows but everything seems to be in place and working as it should which is rare for a classic 911. In summary, this is a hard to find mid mileage 911 SC coupe with good cosmetics that is in excellent mechanical condition. I really like the color combo and attention this car gets from anyone who sees it. It would make a great collector car that still has a lot of life left in it as these bullet proof motors are know to go over 300K miles. Feel free to ask questions prior to bidding. I can provide a reference for arranging very affordable transportation for this car to any state or port in the USA.
