This auction is for a 1963 Anthracite Grey Volkswagen Bug hardtop. This car has AMAZING PATINA. I am re-listing this car due to a non-paying bidder.....so please bid ONLY if you fully intend to complete the purchase. This car was formerly the daily driver for "Andy" from the Boyd Coddington television show. I purchased and drove the car home in 2008 from his house and basically have not touched it since. Therefore, in order to get it back to daily driver status, the new owner should expect to buy a new battery and flush the old gas out at the bare minimum. The car is still 6-volt and is mostly original. Original cardboard glovebox. Original Blaupunkt radio (not working). Original steering column lock (I do not have the key for it, and the current ignition set-up is on the dash.) The front beam has been narrowed, and the car is SLAMMED all around for that awesome stance. The motor ran great when parked 4 years ago, and has new hardware throughout. Andy told me he had a VW mechanic "freshen it up" due to his intentions to make it a daily driver. Cant you imagine how INCREDIBLE this car would look with a set of chrome Fuchs bolted on? Bad-ass...... This car has a clean California title in my name and the registration is paid through January 2013. GREAT eye-turning old Bug that will get back on the road with minimal work. Enjoy the discounted price and do the minor stuff yourself. Otherwise I will take a day off work to dial everything in and then the price jumps to $5000. Car is sold as-is, where-is, with absolutely no guarantee whatsoever from seller to buyer. The black plates belong to a different vehicle and do not come with the car.
