Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a good old barn find 1972 Dodge Dart. Original 318cid, with automatic transmission. This car is untouched other than an am/fm cassette player that was probably installed in the 1980's. Other than that is seems to have 53,700 original miles. Engine runs well, Has newish out the rear exhaust. Interior is in pretty decent shape, door panels very nice, seats decent, headliner good, does need new carpet. Glass great and chrome is in pretty nice shape. Rear bumper was primered but just needs sand blasting and to be dipped. Extra set of tail lights and misc. parts included. Some photos show car with original hub caps and some do not. They are fine and do come with the car I just removed while checking things out on car. Car comes with an easy to transfer Maryland Title. Title is Clear. ***** Now here are the things that need to be done; Left rear frame rail is rusted out and needs to be replaced, Right is not as bad but you might as well replace both. Driver side floor pan is rusted out. Left front fender and inner fender needs to be replaced, you could weld new metal in but it would be easier to replace them both. Quarters need metal welded where Darts always seem to go by the rocker, near door. Rockers seem pretty good. Trunk pan is rusted but not through and can be salvaged. Gas tank has rust hole and was repaired with gas tank silly putty but I removed and drained the tank and was about to buy a new one. Car would be a great street machine or perfect to tub and make a pro street out of. I have included pictures of the good and bad. I am selling because I bought it with the intention of restoring to a fun street car but realize I just don't have time. I love Darts and really like this one. It is very unique for some reason. Really stood out when I bought it, even the color is one I have never seen on a Dart before. It is listed in the 1972 Chrysler catalog as Autumn Bronze. Happy bidding.
